Watched pawn stars ( for those who don’t know its a program on the history channel uk its about pawning or selling things that may have value from history ) and they were looking at a signed pic of the plane and the people who dropped the bomb on Hiroshima am scared of things like this and now i cant get it out of my mind am so scared that someone might do that here like terrorist got hold of some bombs am scared all the times about and i know i shouldn’t watch the history channel if things like this upsets me but my husband was watching it while we where having dinner
my husband told me that its unlikely to happen but am still scared and my OCD is bad at the moment am scared of death because i think that am going to hell

I know that Jesus loves me and i hold on to that
but am still scared
don’t think ill be able to sleep tonight without having to take anti anxiety meds or if i will sleep at all
 
Praying that you will put your faith in God and focus on now and that prayer will relieve your anxiety.

i prayed the rosary
My husband and i have a cold at the moment but my husband has been sicker than me
my husband is an atheist so he don’t believe in the power of prayer
i had to use an online rosary guide that had music and people praying on it
i had to put it on headphones as it was annoying my husband who is now a sleep on the sofa

thank you all for praying
 
i cant stop the thoughts i saw a therapist for a few weeks unsure if she was christian
she gave me things to help with my OCD but i think i need to see someone
am scared all the time apart from when my husband is hugging me my husband cant hug me all day
in bed i feel worse as the thoughts intensifies my husband dont come to bed until 3 am as he is playing games with friends from the us my husband is my full time carer because am too mentally ill to work as i cant go out and have money on my own without supervision

I can understand a lot of what you’re saying. I struggle with OCD too. It can get tiring. I don’t know what to tell you other than God loves you and He has a plan for your welfare. I know that can be tough to hold onto in the face of OCD though. Another thing I’ve found to help me, especially when I am obsessing over going to hell is something someone told me once. God doesn’t want to send someone to hell. He loves us and wants us to be with Him. The thing is though, God is a gentleman. If on earth we don’t want to follow Him, He won’t force us to spend eternity with Him, essentially it is our choice. To be honest the thought still terrifies me, there are days I am thoroughly convinced I am going to hell for something I don’t even know about but the idea that it is our choice helps calm me down a bit. If you ever want to talk to someone who might be able to understand you can always message me 🙂
 
Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us, that in difficult moments we might not despair nor become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to Your holy will, which is Love and Mercy itself.
