Dear brethren,
Yesterday in the evening I was flipping through the channels on the T.V. and I came across a scene from one of those British t.v. shows.
Anyway the couple in the scene were in bed together clearly having sex although no nudity was there…they were just acting as though they were having passionate sex.
I was seemingly captured by what I saw and I lingered on it for a maybe 10-15 seconds (I am not quite sure, but it was certainly less than a minute!) then I switched channels.
I immediately felt a pang of guilt and wondered whether I had committed a mortal sin?
I still wonder whether I did and it bothers me alot.
Anyway I wonder what constitutes pornography and also what constitutes the mortal sin of viewing pornography?
Also, did I commit a mortal sin by lingering for those seconds? I had no intention of lusting nor did I stop and lust about it (as I understand the sin of “lust.”)
Any help would be great…I hope to serve today at the altar but I am worried about receiving the Eucharist.
I am a newly Initiated revert to the Faith, so I am still learning to walk.
