I am having a biopsy on Friday on enlarged lymph nodes surrounding my windpipe. Pet/CT scan last week has indicated that it may be cancer. Please pray for me that if it is cancer it is treatable and was caught early enough. Thank you.

For Help in Trials

Most holy apostle St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the name of the traitor who delivered your beloved Master into the hands of His enemies has caused you to be forgotten by many. But the Church honors and invokes you universally as the patron of hopeless cases–of things despaired of. Pray for me who feels so hopeless. Make use, I implore you, of that particular privilege accorded to you of bringing visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need, that I may receive the consolations and succor of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings, in particular (Licklog), and that I may bless God with you and all the elect throughout eternity. (I had one of those biopsies. A great excuse to drink a milkshake later!)

Prayer for a Biopsy

Dear Lord, as my loved ones and I await the results of medical tests about my affliction, let us offer you our anxieties for our good and your glory. Calm us in our worries, knowing these don’t add wisdom but rather stress to this situation. Enlighten us, through the power of your Spirit, to make wise decisions as to treatment. Help us not to turn away from You in these fragile, painful moments, but rather towards you for grace and strength. Comfort us in seeking you now as we place all our concerns in your loving hands as we say “Thy Will Be Done.”

I had cancer in the same area;

they took it all out surgically; generally
cancer in this area originates from a tumor on your tongue. 😦

However, the
tumors are very hard to find as they are just an iota and most
Ear,Nose & throat specialists can’t find them.

I went to 3 ENTs. The first 2 found nothing. The 3rd guy
found the tumor.

Surgery removed the tumor as well as 60 lymph nodes in my neck.

That was seven years ago. No cancer since.

Thank you everyone for your prayers… The biopsy went well though the nodes were veryhard which pretty much confirms cancer. I will know what type in ten days. Pray that it is treatable.
