Besides - none of the reasons you gave are very valid, IMO.
not a Catholic company - I purchase other items from non-Catholic companies. They offer a good, inexpensive, quality product.

Harry Potter - Personally have read the entire series with my kids and LOVED IT! Awesome series, great moral teachings, and fabulous reading for preteens to teens to adults, in my experience.
Masturbation - checked out this link. That is NOT masturbation in the sexual sense. A 2 year old touching himself in the tub is not a sin! It is normal curiosity, and anyone who “punishes” a toddler for touching himself is creating huge issues for this kid! A toddler is not sexual.
I agree with the other poster who said Scholastic is a great way to build up a good library rather inexpensively.
