I don’t really know the replicators, but in my limited research, I think the Borg are going down. They’re gonna be swarmed and used for parts. 👍

Bye-bye Borg.

Well, Replicants aren’t capable of devouring entire planets and species, but I like them a lot more than Replicators or Borgs. Though I think what’s more dangerous than any of those is the future reality of nanorobotics and nanotechnology in general. Nanites or “micromachines” as they’re called in Ghost in the Shell.

One cool and noteworthy book I didn’t see mentioned in the Wikipedia article above, is Robert Charles Wilson’s novel A Bridge of Years. That’s a particularly fun and lively book for those into science fiction.

What I’d like to know is how the Borg would fare against the Dominion…

If the Borg had showed up in The Original Series, Captain Kirk would have beaten them and seduced the Borg Queen.

I thought about comparing them, but since the Borg are automaton-like and the Replicators are robots, it seemed like a more even match.

It’d be interesting to pair the Borg against the Goa’uld or the Ori. The Ori recruit members by force, as do the Borg, while the Dominion conquers and insinuates their way into power.

The Borg would have to do some fancy adaptations to remake the Jem’Hadar over into Drones. That is, if they even could. My bet would be on the Borg, all the same because they make captives into Drones immediately upon taking them over. It’s a pretty efficient way of taking new worlds and peoples.

I think the Replicators would own the Borg.
Yeah, I can’t see how the Borg could defeat them. After all, they can’t assimilate machines, only people.

OTOH, the Borg might be able to use nanotechnology to disrupt the Replicators ability to reproduce, but they’d have to come up with something that would work pretty darned quick. 🙂

Iconians would defeat them bo-- GET SHOT
Although they had portals that would take them anywhere at any time, they didn’t seem to be any more militarily formidable than any other humanoid race, so I’m not so sure they’d have prevailed against either one. But, thanks for your (name removed by moderator)ut. 🙂
