Science and miracles

I don’t think you have the ability to read my mind. To me science, all of science, does not equal evolution, as it does here.

I think science as discussed here is all about the ‘Church must change’ agenda. The deposit of the faith is true. The identity of Jesus Christ cannot change.

I don’t have to read your mind. I can read your posts. Besides, science doesn’t exist, remember?

I have never, ever called for the Church to change. Ever. You, however, are calling for the Church to ignore science. Almost every post you make does so.

I am calling on my fellow Catholics to understand the difference between what God can do, has done and continues to do, and the limits of man, his scientific method and the inherent problems of being human, which can lead to idolatry and false absolutes being declared by scientists.

Ed, if it weren’t for science, then how can you be using the computer? Don’t you know that computers run on electrons/ If not for science, we wouldn’t have electrons.

I don’t understand the question. True miracles are miracles at any time. The resurrection was and always be a miracle.

God gave man the ability to reason things and to improve things in life through science. But He did not give us the ability to try and discover what He is made of or how to become God. the bad thing about science is when it is abused to ridicule God even if that is impossible. Some people don’t have the skills and ability to understand a “lie” Theory between a true theory. 1+1=2 and it will never be otherwise. God is beyond science and is Absolute and Unique and science will never be able to explain His existence or His origin. He is there and that hurts the “ego” of many people who think they are clever and try to manipulate our Bible. Miracles will always happen and God will reveal them only to those that He desires and to those who deserve it. Pray hard and with great humility and glorify Him and maybe you will be blessed to see His “Work” because His entire “Work” is a miracle. “You” …all of us our a miracle, open the eyes of your heart and stop trying to explain things that will never be explained, even after death. We all will just know that He exists and see that He is true after we die. I pray for all you here to be the “chosen” “eklektoi” in The Greek word and not the “klhtoi” only the invited.

Excellent points. Science is useful for examining material things. It tries to break things down to material components. But it can’t provide understanding of the full being itself. The more that people try to use science to understand all of life and the creation of God, the worse it will get (the farther from truth they will go).

You got my point…well not mine but the Bible’s, because all my believes are from the word of God.
