I don’t consider myself a scientist, but i’m about to finish my masters degree in Biochemisty, I already have a B.Sc. degree in Biology and a minor degree in Buisness.
For some reason I highly, highly doubt the claims you’ve made regarding your educational accomplishments.

Actually I was slightly exaggerating that there is no antimatter in our universe - but it is very rare indeed. Remember that the verses say that Allah created pairs of EVERYTHING. This is patently no true. There is matter and antimatter and energy. Basic physics, Edris - what is the pair of energy?

Dear Rodrigo 👍 ,

The pair of Energy…uhmm…is it weakness (just like what he has shown with his miracle claims that you debunked)?

Reuben J:
I took a quick review of the site. Sympathatic comments about scientific accuracies of verses in the Quran. I have no problem with those comments. If that can be considered miracles, then many things/books will be. Then Quran would be just one of the books which, I think, a dishonor to it.
You asked about what the scientists thought. I posted a link to a conference that gathered well-accomplished scientist and gave them verses from the Quran about their specific fields.

How do you feel they were being sympathetic? Most of them clearly stated that there is no way a man would have known this 1400 years ago, based on the scientific accuracies contained within the Quran (not based on their own emotional beliefs).

Again, The Quran is NOT a book of science. It is a book of guidance. However, the fact that it contains scientific material unknown to anyone until recently…should at least have you thinking about the source of this book.

In any case, Allah guides who HE wills and He leaves who HE wills go astray.

Do you Muslims even realise the implication of bringing these sorts of apologetics? Heck, even Bucaille and Moore never converted to Islam.
Many people see the truth, know it is the truth and reject it. Did Pharoah not see the miracles that Moses came with? Did the Children of Israel not take notice of the miracles that Jesus was given? They saw it, they denied it…nothing new.

Also, you never know what is in people’s hearts, just because they dont come out and tell the world they are Muslim, doesnt mean they are not.
Several of these non-Muslim scientists claim they were ‘quoted out of context’ or hoodwinked into making the statements that they did.
quoted out of context? Please watch the videos and explain how they could be taken out of context.
If you can prove Bucaille and Keith Moore converted to Islam you might have a point. If these people don’t even see the ‘science in the Quran’ worth converting for, why should anyone else?
The science of the Quran should NOT be why someone converts to Islam, in my opinion. It should serve to get someone thinking “what is the source of this book?” And upon reading the Quran seriously with an open heart, they will realize the truth contained with in it and submit to the will of their Creator.
Methinks, they just too the money and laughed all the way to the bank. Who bought their science in the Quran books? Gullible Muslims who believe kafir scientists who don’t convert to Islam
This is science, you cant lie about it.

I havent seen a book written by any of these scientist. They were given a couple of verses, asked to analyze them…and they did that.

Also, if you just take a minute to think about the consequences of “lying” about scientific material. They would lose their entire careers and the respect from their fellow scientists. Not everyone would easily sell their dignity, Rodrigo.

Edris:
But He’d sacrifice His only son for their sake
It would make a god a liar if it were to lay out his plan for “a project” which ONLY HE could do, but in the end He gave up or decided to abort it. Wouldn’t that be a disaster. It is analogous to a father who set out to rescue his drowning child but for whatever reason decided against it and the child drowns! 😃

Allah swearing by the star light to his slaves!!! 😃 😃 That was never a necessity, Allah is bragging about his power, might to mere slaves/kuffar. He brags about having 99 names too!

Long, but interesting, article on the very subject of “science” in the Quran:

geocities.com/denis_giron/quran-science.html
What’s so amazing about interpreting the Qur’an scientifically and then just standing back stunned at the apparently miraculous reconciliation of science and the Qur’an? It reminds me of a ‘Mr. Bean’ episode where he writes Christmas cards out to himself, walks out of his apartment door, posts them through his own apartment door via the mail-slot and walks in a few seconds later. And to his wonderful surprise as interpreted by his mentality, he’s received Christmas cards! Amazing! The whole enterprise does have a hidden circularity embedded into it.

Point taken. Actually, when I read a brief biography of Muhammad, I found out that one of his uncles believed that he was a true prophet and that he even supported/protected him. However, he preffered to die a non-Muslim because he did not have the strength to go against he religion of his forefathers.

Oh my brother in faith and Jesus (or Buddha) Max,

Praise to the our Lord Jesus (or Buddha) that you become a very wise man. Amen…

But here we are talking about Scientific Miracles of Quran. I am really amazed by how miraculous the science in Quran…
If I am not mistaken, Quran tells us so many things:
  1. About the real usage of stars.
  2. About why our earth needs to be pegged by mountains.
  3. About the life of bees.
  4. Even the history that needs to be added at National Geography that once the moon was split. Long time ago. And that the farthest mosque. They mistakenly write in history that at the time our beloved prophet rode boraq to meet Allah, the site was just a ruin. We should do something so it can be straightened up.
Like what Sister Faith has mentioned, many scientists will not believe how a 7th century man can write a book about how the earth needs to be pegged by mountains. And if we see a dying star, we need not to wonder. May be it hits the target.
And for someone interested in ESP, Quran and hadiths give a useful guide about Djinn.

So, why this thread suddenly loses Edris and Rodrigo? Has Edris been absorbed by black hole? Or is Edris Antimatter to Rodrigo?

Faith 101,
Someone has already shown you the humanist link. I refer you to think link to show you how the Western scientists were duped into making the statements supporting Islamo-pseudoscience that they did.

faithfreedom.org/Articles/DGolden/touting_science.htm

Far be it for me to tell you why Bucaille and Keith Moore NEVER converted to Islam, despite all the Quranic ‘science’ they found. If they don’t even believe their own findings why should anyone else? I suspect they were merely trying to sell their books to stupid and gullible Islamists.

Regarding Edris and other Islamists - please bring more Quranic science so I can debunk them.

Cuidate,
Mata Moro

Btw, there are particles that have no anti-particle, a Photon or a Z-Boson e.g.

Dear Anatheis,

You only support Rodrigo. He debunked the claim in Quran that God created everything in pairs.

I know. What do we learn from that? The scientific accuracy of the Quran is not that accurate, as Muslims want us to believe. (Not, that any of the statements Edris mentioned in the OP have any scientific content.)

Dear Anatheis,

Our brother moslems always love to say that one superiority of Quran is that it contain science, and that science there will not get wrong, because Quran is from Allah directly. If it contains mistakes then it’s not Allah’s work.
Brother moslem, please correct me if I am wrong.

How else to to be famous in Islamic countries 'cept write books to praise their book/religion … then laugh your way to the bank and at the same time be given the keys to their cities!!!

Edris:
I have seen many claims so far on this forum that Muhammad pbuh had no miracles like Moses and Jesus pbuh and that he didn’t prophesies about anything.
Muhammad had no miracles according to the Quran.

[29:50] They said, “If only miracles could come down to him from his Lord!” Say, “All miracles come only from GOD; I am no more than a manifest warner.”

So unless you don’t believe the Quran?
Muhammad pbuh had so many miracles and the prophecies reached 100 hundreds.
Not according to the Quran.
But Muslims consider the Qur’an as the greatest miracle…
1- Wind Pollination.
"And We send the winds fertilizing, then caused the water (rain) to descend from the sky, and We gave it to you to drink, and it is not you who are the owners of its stores" (Qur’an 15:22)
Of the 250000 species of flowering plants only 10% (25000) are wind-pollinated. …
Wind pollination is not a miracle. Neither is insect pollination, which I consider a greater wonder myself. It is the work of God.
2- Black Holes.
"And by the planets that move swiftly and hide themselves," (Qur’an 81:16)
The verse talks about planets in Arabic described as “Al-Jawari” “Al-Konnas”. Those two words respectively mean “The Moving swiftly” and “The hidden”
"Then when the stars lose their lights;" (Qur’an 77:8)
The term “black hole” was first employed in 1969 by the American physicist John Wheeler. Previously, we imagined that we were able to see all the stars…
Now, if your explanation of black stars were in the Quran then it would be a miracle. However, planets and stars frequently lose their lights when they are obstructed by clouds and other natural phenomenon.
3- The Position of the Stars.
"So I swear by the stars’ positions-and that is a mighty oath if you only knew." (Qur’an 56:75-76)
Why would Allah (swt) swear by the stars’ positions and not by the star itself?
Now this is interesting and a good question? God only swears by Himself or by His name since He is the only thing worthy enough. Yet, Allah swears by one of His creatures, a mere star in comparison to Allah, nothing.
Here’s the interesting fact. The light from the sun which is the closest star to us takes 8 minutes to reach us, so by the time you see the sun, it has already moved from that position 8 minutes ago. …
I don’t see any of this in the quotation you have provided. You have apparently read something into the Quran.
4- Sub-Atomic Particles.
"Those who disbelieve say: “The Hour will not come to us” Say: “Yes, by my Lord, it will come to you” (Allâh, He is) the All¬Knower of the unseen, not even the weight of an atom or less than that or greater, escapes from His Knowledge in the heavens or in the earth, but it is in a Clear Book (Al¬Lauh Al¬Mahfûz)" (Qur’an 34:3)
"Whatever you (O Muhammad) may be doing, and whatever portion you may be reciting from the Qur’an, - and whatever deed you (mankind) may be doing (good or evil), We are Witness thereof, when you are doing it And nothing is hidden from your Lord (so much as) the weight of an atom on the earth or in the heaven Not what is less than that or what is greater than that but is (written) in a Clear Record" (Qur’an 10:61)
Following the development of the atomic theory of the Greek philosopher Democritus, people used to believe that matter consisted of minute, indivisible and indestructible particles known as atoms…
Cont……
Democritus was positing the smallest invisible particle that could exist, not the second smallest particle. He posited the existence of sub atomic particles. If we discover the existence of even smaller particles, then Democritus will have been the first to posit them. Democritus did this a century before Mohammed was born. *Democritus asserted that space, or the Void, had an equal right with reality, or Being, to be considered existent. He conceived of the Void as a vacuum, an infinite space in which moved an infinite number of atoms that made up Being (i.e. the physical world). These atoms are eternal and invisible; *absolutely small, so small that their size cannot be diminished (hence the name atomon, or “indivisible”); absolutely full and incompressible, as they are without pores and entirely fill the space they occupy; and homogeneous, differing only in shape, arrangement, position, and magnitude.

5- Duality In Creation.

"Glory be to Him Who created all the pairs: from what the earth produces and from themselves and from things unknown to them." (Qur’an 36:36)

This is one of my favorite miracles that is found in the Holy Qur’an. Look closely at the Surah (chapter) number and the verse number; both are 36 (it resembles pairs)! [/qutoe]

Yes, 6x6=36. It resembles a number which we dread 666.
Now let’s talk about the verse itself. “from what the earth produces” it’s talking about animals and plants; for those of you who don’t know, even plants are in pairs (i.e. male and female). “from themselves” it’s talking about us (humans) we are also in pairs (men and women). So far doesn’t sound much like a miracle, but let’s look at the last part of the verse “and from things unknown to them.” The British physicist Paul Dirac, who discovered that matter was created in pairs, won the Nobel Prize for Physics in 1933. This finding, known as “parity,” revealed the duality known as matter and anti-matter. Anti-matter bears the opposite characteristics to matter. For instance, contrary to matter, anti-matter electrons are positive and protons negative. This fact is expressed in a scientific source as follows:
“… every particle has its antiparticle of opposite charge… [T]he uncertainty relation tells us that pair creation and pair annihilation happen in the vacuum at all times, in all places.” (Henning Genz, “Nothingness: The Science of Empty Space,” 205, www.2think.org/nothingness.shtm
)

Again, if the Quran had mentioned matter/anti-matter, it would be a miracle indeed. But It didn’t. It simply mentioned pairs. And the whole world knew even before Mohammed that it takes two to make a baby. Look at the ying and yang of Chinese philosophy which is much more ancient than the Quran.
Another example of duality in creation is plants. Botanists only discovered that there is a gender distinction in plants some 100 years ago. Yet, the fact that plants are created in pairs was revealed in the following verses of the Qur’an 1,400 years ago:
"It is He Who made the earth a cradle for you and threaded pathways for you through it and sent down water from the sky by which We have brought forth diverse pairs of plants
." (Qur’an 20:53)

This doesn’t say male and female plants. It says pairs. It could easily be translated numbers and in fact if taken in context that is the best translation.
6- Fireless Light.
"Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The metaphor of His Light is that of a niche in which is a lamp, the lamp inside a glass
, the glass like a brilliant star, lit from a blessed tree, an olive, neither of the east nor of the west, its oil all but giving off light even if no fire touches it. Light upon Light. Allah guides to His Light whoever He wills and Allah makes metaphors for mankind and Allah has knowledge of all things." (Qur’an, 24:35)

Just to remind you this verse was revealed on Muhammad pbuh more than 1400 years ago.

Cont…

And this predicts light from oil without fire? Or what?
