They do seem rather unorthodox. If you took away Lorraine, who apparently had the 6th sense, then the book would be more credible.
F. X. Schouppe’s book ‘Hell’ told the events of demonic apparitions in the hope to scare people away from sin and to start believing in the spiritual world. If the people in the accounts had access to video, wouldn’t they have used it? Granted it is dangerous to start reading up on demonology, but wouldn’t subscribing to the materialist school of thought be more deleterious to one’s soul in the long run? I know that my previous falling from the Church was because of reading Voltaire, Camus, and Dawkins. I think many other lapsed Catholics have had the same problems: trying to find proof of the spiritual world.
