Given the immensity of the universe, and the multitude of galaxies within it, it’s a bit arrogant to believe that this little obscure rock we call “Earth” is the only place intelligent life exists…

If we can even honestly call what happens here intelligent…

That being said, here’s an interesting dilemma:
Jesus died for sins “once for all.” The word “all” presumably means all life here and on every other planet, moon, starship, etc.

Were we Earthlings simply lucky, or honored, or just arrogantly stubborn enough in our belief/disbelief to get/need to host this great event?

Assume there really is intelligent life elsewhere in the universe. The sheer number of stars and planets practically guarantee that conditions favorable for life exist in lots and lots of places beyond our little cesspool. So, what kind of saving act did or will all the other worlds teeming with intelligent life witness? Would it simply have been a video replay of something that happened “a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away?”

If Jesus died once, as scripture says, I can’t really fathom that “once” means “over and over again on each different planet.” Unless, that is, you consider that maybe Jesus’ godly omnipresence transcends the the rules of time as we know them. A lot of God-stuff is unfathomable; this dilemma would be right up there with the best of them.

Although this scenario makes the existence of the initial big bang almost irrelevant, for all practical purposes, one can consider the moment of formation of each inflationary bubble as a new “big bang.” From this perspective, inflation is not a part of the big bang theory, as we thought 15 years ago. On the contrary, the big bang is a part of the inflationary model
Nice theory.

Where are all the other inflationary bubbles besides the one that caused us? Surely there would be some evidence of another one - even one - out there?

And what created these inflationary bubbles in the first place?

There are other planets with intelligent life , thats where Jesus went at after his resurection. He flew into space.
Where is your proof for this claim?

Where in the Bible or the teachings of Mother Church is there evidence of this claim?

In the words of Thomas: ‘Until I see the evidence, I will not believe’!

It’s not arrogant to believe that at all. It’s math / probability. The universe IS immense, but it’s not infinite. We know how big (sort of). The universe IS old, but not infinitely old. We know how old (sort of).

The probability of the most elementary form of life happening by random given how big the universe is and how long it’s been around is virtually zero. So life on Earth is a miracle.

So a better question is “Did God decide to perform such a miracle anywhere else?”

I won’t speculate on that one 🙂 but it would make life more interesting.
