1 John 5:16-17 “If you see your brother or sister committing what is not mortal sin, you will ask, and God will give life to such a one–to those whose sin is not mortal; I do not say you shuld pray about that. All wrongdoing is sin, but there is sin that is not mortal.”
Here the Scriptures very clearly say that there is sin that is mortal and sin that is not mortal. I really don’t see any way around this one.
John 19:11 “Jesus anwered him 'you would have no power over me unless it had been given you from above; therefore the one who handed me over to you is guilty of a greater sin.” It would seem that Jesus indicates that there differnt degrees of sin.
It is clear from the Scriptures that there varying degrees of sin. To those who say all sin is equal, how do you explain what is clearly laid out in htese scriptures?
