Scriptural rosary on my website

hello… BeeSweet! was kind enough to scan and send me the scriptural rosary… and I have put it up on my website for anyone who wants to download it…
I feel that it helps me a lot when i am saying the rosary as i can concentrate on the mystery so much better…

Water, if you’d like to purchase one of the booklets Mariam has on her website, contact Holy Rosary Church in Houston. Their phone is (713) 529-4854. The address is 3600 Travis Street, Houston, TX 77002. The last I heard they were asking for a donation of at least $2.00 to have your own personal copy. Copies are kept at the church for use during the rosary which is said there every day.

Another book that is very nice is the Christianica Staff Scriptural Rosary. This is a very small hardback book that will fit in a pocket or purse very easily. It has some really lovely illustrations. They’re making them now to include the Luminous Mysteries proposed by Pope John Paul II. This book also gives the reader some historical background on the devotion which is really nice to know. It’s real common to find this particular book on the shelves in any Catholic bookstore.

The booklet from Holy Rosary Church does not contain the Luminous Mysteries, but does contain two other sets of mysteries which I’ve never seen elsewhere, namely “The Public Mysteries of the life of Our Lord Jesus Christ”, and “The Final Discourse of our Lord Jesus Christ”.

I’m so glad I could be of help in spreading this devotion. 🙂
 
Thank you all SOOOO much for this info. I have within the past 2 or 3 months been (with successful determination) saying my rosary daily without fail. Already the spiritual help has been unbelievable, but yes, at times I struggle with keeping concentration on the mysteries. (I always ask the Blessed Mother to help me with this:) ) I will DEFINITELY look into these books.

Tee, glad to hear you are doing alright and that Our Lady and her Son are taking such good care of you!

p.s… I jsut got a scriptural rosary book this week, how weird! At least three times a week I realise I’m “meditating” on the grocery list.

Mariam, you may actually have a copyright problem scanning and posting material. This site has a scriptural rosary booklet free (.pdf files) for downlad: webhart.net/csrb/

diymus, I checked, this is not copywrited material. Nowhere in the booklet is it mentioned that any of the contents can’t be copied and distributed. This booklet is offered by my church, and I was told specifically they do not sell them, they ask for a donation to be given, but there is no real set amount, just the cost of printing I would assume.

Wouldn’t it be a sad thing if we couldn’t share our prayers with eachother unless we paid for it?

didymus, that is a great site! There’s a Lenten Scriptural Rosary booklet there that looks really great. Thanks!
