Scripture citing?

Could someone please tell me where and the exact wording of the scripture passage (NT) that goes something like: “make use of this world’s goods that they may bring you lasting joy in heaven?”

I need to use it in a paper and have just looked through all three gospels to no avail.

Hebrews 10:34-38 (New King James Version)

34 for you had compassion on me[a] in my chains, and joyfully accepted the plundering of your goods, knowing that you have a better and an enduring possession for yourselves in heaven.** 35 Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. 36 For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise:
37 “ For yet a little while,
And He[c] who is coming will come and will not tarry.
38 Now the[d]just shall live by faith;
But if anyone draws back,

“in heaven” is omitted in NAB - Hebrews 10:34 I think this is what you want, and why you could not find it! Hope this helps.**
 
There’s also this, as it reads in the KJV:

Luke 16:9
And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when ye fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations.

I was scratching my head on this, too!
 
I knew it wasn’t in John but I know there is four. :dancing:
