Hi, Just getting into this book of previously published essays by Dr. Hahn.

Chapter Two is a blockbuster, giving a summary of what an appropriate Catholic interpretation of scripture would include. I don’t know, from reading what Scott says, whether there has actually been a complete Catholic (four senses) interpretation of the Bible. It doesn’t seem so, as even many scholars have become enmeshed in emphasizing the literal or the spiritual senses, and not integrating them.

This chapter slightly expands and emphasizes the approach defined by the Catechism of the Catholic Church and other modern scripture guidelines.

For serious scripture study, I would say that you need this book.

And, first, you need to pray to the Holy Spirit for guidance and blessing.

That Book is awesome. What did you think of “The Hour is Coming”? It’s a prime example of some excellent Spiritual Exegesis. I’m still trying to absorb his essary on “The Parousia”.

Getting deeper into this book.

Excellent, eye-opening chapters by Hahn on St. Thomas Aquinas (may old Aquinas be forgotten?) and on St. Josemarie Escriva.

don’t miss this book. Under $11 at amazon.com, $14.85 or so with shipping. You can’t afford not to read this book.
