Scripture study

My wife and I have been contemplating doing a bible study with one, maybe two other couples. Most of the highly rated Catholic ones are between $400 and $700 for the complete programs and for larger groups. Does any one have any cheaper alternatives that sticks strickly to Roman Catholic teaching and the Magisterium?

If you can get those on DVD or tape, they would be a good aid for personal or group study.

I am looking for an individual scripture web based program. Is there any that are good. I am using the Catholic Home Study Service at: amm.org/chss.htm. This is more of a belief and doctrine based study from. I am looking for more of a scripture study. I am also on a tight budget so a low cost or free study program would help the best.

I did a group bible study for 10 years and we used Little Rock Scripture Study series. You have a commentary book and a work book-- usually they are about $10/$15 total for each set. A couple would each need their own workbook but might be able to share a commentary.

And, there’s usually a “facilitator answer key” that is $5 or so.

Ask your parish or Catholic bookstore about them.
