Scriptures for debunking Jehovah's Witnesses' beliefs

I have Jehovah’s Witnesses coming next Monday and I need scriptures that disprove the following beliefs that they hold to:

Jesus is a god not the God;
Jesus is Michael the archangel;
The holy spirit is a force, not a person;
The Eucharist should be celebrated only one day in Holy Week;
The Eucharist is con-substantial;
God will destroy all who oppose him.;
The soul of the damned are not immortal;
The 144,000 are elect of Jehovah’s Witnesses;
All who aren’t the 144,000 will not be in Jerusalem;
The Church is apostate since the Edict of Milan;

I already have a few scriptures in mind but can you help me? Thank you.

So what do they say happened after the Edict of Milan? What changed in the Church to make it apostate? Are they saying that teachings changed? If so, then what teachings?
 
They think that the roman empire continued their reign over Europe through religion.
 
So is this the argument that Constantine took over the Church?
 
Why are you having JW’s over to argue with ?

You will not convince them and if you’re not aware already, they have access 24/7 to their leaders who have provided arguments to support their side for years.

Salvation isn’t about arguing on who’s on the right side of religious issues.

Best to avoid the confrontation altogether.

🧐 That would take a considerable amount of disregard for historical information about the good emperor.

Then again, I suppose most things the JW’s profess tend to be a little economical with the facts.

Whose version of the Bible do they read exactly, the Sesame Street edition I presume.
 
Oops. I accidentally deleted the messsage.

I want them to know the truth about their beliefs. I know of people on here in 2009 who were enlightened by people who invited them in their house who got resources from here. They’re followed up and are no longer Jehovah’s Witnesses.
 
They’re not open to what you have to say.

They’re coming to convince you that they have the truth and will have a mental block against anything you say.

Arguing to support your beliefs is not presenting the truth but rather, supporting your own attachment to the religion.

As Thomas Kempis wrote in The Imitation of Christ,

“many times I’ve walked away feeling less of a man. This happens when we talk too much.”

Speaking from my own experience many years ago, this meeting with the JWs will not be edifying to your faith, but disruptive to your own spirituality.

I will just listen, present my information and ask them to come to the ecumenical prayer service next year. That’s all I can do.
 
That’s not what you opened this thread about, just listening.

You’re looking for weapons from Scripture to put them in their place.

You will fail, I can guarantee it.

I listed 3 things, not just “just listen”. I wrote “Just listen, present my information and ask them to come to the ecumenical prayer service next year.”
I can present the scriptures, if they don’t accept it, it’s their choice like I did with an other back in 2009. I am not going to argue till I am blue in face.

We are to evangelise through ecumenism. That’s what I plan to do. I will start with our similarities and then present / explain why there are differences. I’ve done it before but lost the tracts I made.
(The computer crashed) That’s why I am here again to ask for help to find the scriptures again.

Arguing with people of other religions isn’t evangelizing, just arguing and the winner is the one who feels they put up the best argument. Whether their right or wrong won’t make a difference. They’re as dug in with their beliefs as you are on yours.

If you actually knew Scripture as well as you think you do, you wouldn’t be asking us to provide you with Scripture to debunk them.

The thing is, JW’s know their Bible far better than most Catholics know Scripture.

They’ll also reject whatever you show them in a Catholic Bible, especially the 1st chapter of John’s Gospel, which they claim was added later by the Catholic Church.

Anyway, if you wish to grow spiritually, you need to detach from the desire to prove them wrong and you’re right.
