Scully in the X-Files

[mro]

So those of us who are X-Files fans know that Scully is one of the most famous Catholic characters of modern science fiction.

Anyone have any favorite moments related to Scully or the Catholic faith?

[Oren]

I don’t know how Catholic she ended up being really. She had that experience with the Buddha that one episode.

Yeah. That was Gillian Anderson showing through.) Well Scully got a job in a Catholic hospital in the *I Want to Believe *movie but she didn’t have a very good relationship with any of the priests in that movie.

Most of the episodes that examine Scully’s faith take a rather non-standard view of Catholicism. I just read through the script for All Souls. It deals with Scully’s faith but from something of a Gnostic viewpoint.
