By using such disparaging language in reference to our religion, you are seriously in violation of forum rules. Plus the Vatican cannot be the Antichrist it fails to meet the definition: The Vatican does not deny that Jesus is the Son of the Living God. On the contrary, the Vatican depends on this very truth, as the source of authority. ( 1 John 2:18,22, 4:3, 2 John 1:7). These are the only verses that the word “Antichrist” even appears. None of these apply to the Church.
Did you see how confused the SDA are in the teaching of the church, one said the pope is the antichrist, the other say the Vatican. do they not know one is a man and the other a building. Do they hate Gods Church that bad ,shame on them Church. May God help them

Amen.

They use the Bible as a weapon upon which to win arguments. His statements are relatively mild compared to some of the pure hatred I’ve heard on 3ABN.

If they only knew. God bless them.

When one’s spirit is asleep that person is in sin…When one’s spirit is resting it is no longer struggling with the flesh, but it it not sleeping the flesh is sleeping…

Sorry but you have already missed Jesus welcoming His mother home He did that when she was assumed into heaven.
Well you got one right ,you are in the dark but I do not think you are a rainbow

and you are right beside me in the dark
went to delete this post and we had a poweroutage long enough to prevent me from doing so…

I think Bill just mistook you for an SDA person. Yall are both Catholic and both in agreement. The wires just got crossed somewhere.

Isaiah 14:9-10 tells us that the dead are agitated and are speaking. 1 Samuel 28 tells of Samuel conversing with Saul after his death. In 1 Peter 3:19, Jesus preaches to souls in prison. Why preach to sleeping spirits? Talk about a bored audience! Try telling the rich man in the story of Lazarus and the rich man (Lk 16:19-31) not to worry, since he is just sleeping.

If the dead are asleep, one must ask how Jesus communicated with them during his transfiguration (Mt 17:3), how they offer our prayers to God (Rv 5:8), how they cry out in a loud voice in praise of God (Rv 7:10), and how these sleeping, unconscious souls cry out, “How long will it be, holy and true master, before you sit in judgement and avenge our blood on the inhabitants of the earth?” (Rv 6:10). That is a pretty windy statement for someone asleep! Those that have died are more alive than we are, and they surround us like a great cloud of witnesses (Heb 12:1).

Rexpi, do you believe scripture can contradict itself? The above is from scripture also. Maybe you are having trouble understanding what scripture is really saying.

This is what happens when folks rely on 19th Century interpretations of Scripture from those who have their personal agendas to promote as they seek attention and fame.

I truly believe this. I believe this is what comes from those who think they know better than Christ’s Church how His Church should be sheparded. They then proceed to found errant doctrines to further support whatever notions they might have, such as the rapture and investigative judgement and soul sleep.

Quite frankly, any interpretation of Scripture other than that of the very Church that is responsible for safekeeping it and canonizing it is questionable, IMHO. It is no coincidence that Christ left Peter with a commission and to this day, the Church is carrying out that commission in spite of accusations of those seeking to undermind Christ’s ministry. Who of sound mind could follow any form of Christianity other than the form that was practiced by Christ Himself and His Apostles?

If Christ tells us to eat His Body and drink His Blood and then physically demonstrates this to us, then we’d better take heed of that demonstration. Christ never once demonstrated a parable or a metaphore. Christ was not telling but rather doing.

God Bless.

That’s the best you can do? No evidence-based rebuttal?
Not even gonna try** to defend your position?
Boy - THAT was easy . . .
Nop, thats simply what the word of God says… not the word of a priest. Its just funny how you are trying to fight all the time, I am just showing pure Bible.

She never went to heaven, she is dead! Who told you such a lie? Wake up people, I just put HEAPS of evidence from the bible that you dont even have to “interpret it” its just a matter of sit down and read the bible. Put your traditions aside and read the bible.
Want to follow this thread, and will catch up as I go…But want to quickly add that we will not put aside the Apostolic traditions because the Bible tells us to told to them. And we call all be assured that the sweet Mother of God is in heaven and is praying for us…just like the scriptures say.

No, you are verse hopping around the Bible and ignoring what folk here are trying to explain to you. Why not take a moment (or two) to investigate what is being explained here? How can that hurt you?
What most protestants do not understand (and the ones who do either ignore it or become Catholics) is that until the 4th century there was only the Hebrew scriptures on which to rely as writings and the ORAL traditions handed along by Jesus’s apostles. The Catholic Church put together what everyone refers to as “the New Testement” from letters and recollections of those who actually knew Jesus or knew someone else who knew Him.
Read history **Rexpi **and become enlightened far beyond the narrowness of what you have been taught.

God is not the God of the dead. but of the living. the ark of the covenant, and revelation, all point so something special happening with Mary. so did Moses go to heaven? he died. why was he speaking with Jesus at the mt. of transfiguration. and please dont say he was resurected for the occasion. you have no scripture or tradition to back up that claim. 😉 peace 🙂

So you want pure Bible:

Hosea 13: 16

The people of samaria must bear their guilt, because they have rebelled against their God. They will fall by the sword: their little ones will be dashed to the ground, their pregnant women ripped open.

Deuteronomy 13:5

The false prophets or visionaries who try to lead you astray must be put to death, for they encourage rebellion against the LORD your God, who redeemed you from slavery and brought you out of the land of Egypt. Since they try to lead you astray from the way the Lord your God commanded you to live, you must put them to death. In this way you will purge the evil from among you.

Deuteronomy 17:12

Anyone arrogant enough to reject the verdict of the judge or of the priest who represents the LORD your God must be put to death. Such evil must be purged from Israel.

And so on and so fourth, to take the Bible out of context is a silly thing indeed, unless of course, you plan on rounding up all the non-beleivers and doing the above. I did notice a negative comment about priests and the Vatican et al… people beed to be more respectful of priests after God told us what to do with peopel who disrespect said priests.

Please tell us where you got your authority to interpret scripture and how the Catholic Church is in error and you are correct! Did you receive some special revelation that we are not aware of…

Matthew

I got the authority of the Bible, the word of God, Which by the way is the one that corrects people and churches.
Please show me in the Bible all of your beliefs. For example the idea than Mary is alive, that she was inmaculate, that she still a virgin, that we can talk to her in order to be accepted by Jesus…
Authority is within the word of God.

He musted be resurrected thou, otherwise wouldnt be with Jesus. Can you explain more about that idea tha the ark of covenant, and revelation poinrt to something special happening to Mary? It sounds interesting, Ta

hi my friend. its pretty lengthy, and i have posted on other threads in reguard to this. i have a very short time. but the ark of the covenant does in fact typify Mary. there are many parallels between what happened to the ark and what happened in the life of Mary. i will try to shorten it here, when i get to where im going and get some time, we can go deeper into this. we will just start with one item. the contents of the ark. we have in the ark, the manna, the tablets of the law, and the staff, or rod of aaron. what my friend did Mary carry within her womb? She carried the Giver of the Law, the Bread that was to come down from heaven, and our High priest. and by the Grace of the Holy Spirit, she delivered God the Son into this world. much more to say on this. i knew this before i ever stepped into a Catholic Church. the Church simply confirmed what had been given to me. these deal with private revelations though, which i do not discuss, except with priest, because only they can tell me if what has been revealed to me is of God or not. They have been a great blessing in my life. Peace 🙂
