Yep,

Yeah they keep at it even though we’ve been refuting all that propaganda for the whole 500 years since the “Reformation”. It’s hard to understand how people who actually do their own homework and look at both sides can buy into all this.
:
I’m convinced it’s their seminary that is the problem.

I’ve heard they discuss the first 100 years AD, then take lunch and come back talking about Luther  As if those 1400 years of church history never happened.

And whatever they do learn about those 1400 years is lies and half truths.

How does he get that “if you appoint a day for a year, 42 months equal 1260 years?” It’s like they have an answer and work backwards to form a question to make it true.

He’s lightened up some now but back in the day he was terrible.

He was rebuked in 08 by McCain after he had endorsed him, then proceeded to offend millions of Catholics with his horrible remarks. Catholic leaders offered him a olive branch; met with him to help clear up his confusion.
I think I remember something about that.

I have never seen a Jack Chick tract anywhere at anytime. I am 64. I had never heard of his anti-Catholic propoganda until I joined CAF. I am a convert.
I wonder why he hasn’t been exposed on like 60 Minutes or another type of investigative journalism.

I’d have to agree. Dallas Theological is probably one of the worst. They have produced guys like Mike Gendron (Example: Response to Hard Questions to Ask Good Catholics (By Mike Gendron)

That’s some dispensationalist stuff. These guys start doing http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h...orona_stellarum/Smilies/flip_emoticon_jfo.gif to try to explain every scripture in the Bible and as a result come up with all kinds of cosmically strange things.

Probably because they don’t care.🤷

Adventists were so convinced that Pope Francis’ visit to America was gonna signal the “agreement between the Papacy and the world secular powers to enforce Sunday worship on the whole world” which will signal the end of the age.

:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

You cannot make this stuff up.

oh my gosh - really?!!? maybe they were confused about the desire for the East and the West to celebrate Easter on the same day?

I had spoken with an SDA person who said the Pope would agree with all the works leaders to make Sunday the day of worship.

I didn’t know that it was signed in September during the popes trip. 🤷

can you clarify your post?

Post 24 states that some Sda members believe that the popes visit to America in September was to make Sunday the official day of worship for everyone. The Blue Law as they call it.

I then stated, that I had spoken to someone who is SDA and she told me years ago, that a sign for the end of times was, that the Pope would get together with the world leaders and sign the Blue Law and make Sunday the official day of worship.

So me, being sarcastic, and taking from post 24, I stated, I didn’t know that Pope Francis signed the Blue Law into effect when he came in September.

I was just being sarcastic to sda belief system with the Blue Law. ( Sunday worship)

They’re confused alright…on a lot of things. The SDA seems like some kind of religious paranoia.

I mean we all know things are pretty bad in society, but these guys are so messed up that they’ll miss the reality when it comes to pass while they await actions from the Catholic Church that will never come. 🤷

Yes indeed! The president of the SDA, Ted Wilson, got mad at his fellow adventists while speaking at the group’s 150th year celebration gathering in 2013. He was incensed that it was 2013 and “we are still here” as if somehow claiming that the pulse of Jesus’ Second Coming had to deal with their evangelization and he was basically calling them out on here.

It’s on google. Look it up.

It’s sad that churches like sda and jehova witnesses demean their people so much, that make them naive and scared of everything.

I get, things are not rosy, but they have never been. To believe everyone is after you, like these churches make it out to be, it’s excessive.

I have seen DB A couple of times on the tube, and I always noticed how gaunt and skeletal he looked not to mention bald. I looked into it and learned that SDAs are kosher khristians. They mostly follow a semi kosher and vegan diet. They need more protiens in their diets.

Their “prophetess” Ellen White totally spoke out against meat, yet ate it herself and even had wine on occasion, if memory serves, all while lashing out about alcohol.

I’ve met good adventists though.

Yep. here’s a link to an Adventist News site.

One thing that often gets overlooked and may be relevant here is that the SDA (and a number of other n-C communities) feel that the 2nd Coming is tied to Christian evangelism because of the Gospel passage that says…
***"[14] And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, as a testimony to all nations; and then the end will come. " (Matthew 14)

“[10] And the gospel must first be preached to all nations.” (Mark 13)***

And to some extent it is true, but I think that these folks and perhaps some of the rapture types as well, feel like the lack of evangelism is holding up Christ’s return, and that’s really odd.

After all, we know quite well that God already knows when the end will come, so all we have to do is just keep sowing the seeds and keep doing what He told us to do so that when He returns He finds us being good and faithful servants,

Basically, what I’m saying is that as with most of Christianity, things are not as simple as some people try to make them appear.🤷

Oh and yes…there are some really excellent people among the SDA. One was my brother in law…may God be good to Him.

I am SDA.

If you have any questions I am here to answer them.
🤷 What’s to ask? You guy’s books, websites, and materials make your errant and ill informed opinions pretty clear.

Anything you wanna ask us?

(BTW, your sig line link doesn’t lead anywhere)

Yeah… pretty much this… All of the man’s assertions are easily disprovable with even a cursory bit of fact checking, as are pretty much all of the SDA claims about the Church. Not trying to be mean, but it’s really unfortunate that people actually believe this stuff and never even take the two or three minutes it would take to fact check…
