I would not say such a thing. You and I agree on many things in the Bible. the point I was making is the fact that you took one line of scripture without having any follow up to what was going on in this letter. One of the focal points of the letter was pointed out in my last post ,In Christ, Tim

I am not sure what your point would be here. I did not quote it out of context at all; I only repeated what it said. to “grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ” would apply to all people, of all ages; how can you deny such a thing, being as it’s not even me that said it; it is in the Bible?

To me, you becoming Catholic on the Sabbath means a committment to Jesus; and I would commend you for this committment when it officially happens on Saturday. May you continue to be open to Jesus, as He seeks to open your understanding of Bible truths.

Adventists identify “Michael the Archangel” as a name for the a pre-incarnate Son of God. They believe that the term “angel” merely denotes a “messenger,” and could be applied to a divine being serving in such a capacity (e.g., Jesus), as easily as it applied to spiritual beings we typically call “angels” (e.g., Gabriel). Adventists underscore that this does not mean Jesus is anything less than a member of the Holy Trinity, that is, God.

The Catholics were not the originators of the Trinity doctrine either.

OK. I can give you a great example. I have attended Protestant churches for the last 6 years. In the last year I have studied Catholic theology. In this time I have “grown in the grace and in knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ” by coming to an understanding as to what the New Covenant means and how it parallels the OT Covenants,epsecially in regards to why and how the Body and Blood of Christ are part of this New Covenant. The reason I did not understand this prior to my studies is a given and St.Peter writes about that in the same book you were quoting from. I had been led astray by false doctrine. The people that taught me this were by no means trying to steer me the wrong direction. They,too,had been taught wrong and were doing only what they knew to do.

Well; I can understand why you responded thus; thanks for sharing that with me. I really do sincerely wish you all God’s best as you make a public committment to Him at your Easter Vigil Service. A Scripture that comes to mind for the occassion is **Psa 32:8 ** I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.
