This really saddened me. 😦 This hurts to the core. I feel like doing extra pennance for Sean.

Can we all pray for Sean? :gopray2: He needs to be “knocked off his high horse” because of his arrogance.

We also need to pray for Father. :gopray:
 
Sean! NO ONE should be using artificial birth control, no matter what their faith is.

And NFP is not “birth control” as you think it is. NFP is completely open to life! And artificial birth control is NOT open to life. Do you want to rethink your stance on birth control?
And don’t change the subject to the “scandel” a few years ago. This is your way of a cheap copout.
 
I watched the Video of it at Fox news website and he was quite vicious towards Father.

Yes this is good but we have to remember to be as charitable as we possibly can considering the circumstances. We cannot stoop to Sean’s level on this. Remember be charitable in your emails okay? 🙂

Just marking thread so I can come back for links. May the Holy Spirit guide us in any response to Mr. Hannity. He needs some help in finding out what being catholic really means.
 
I was indeed saddened when I watched his program last night. I lost a lot of respect for him. He was totally unfair to Fr. Euteneuer. I emailed him right after the show, explaining why I was disappointed in him (probably sounded silly coming from a 16 year-old, but hey).

Sean…

I always enjoy your show (radio and TV), because invariably I learn something new.

This is the case with your “discussion” with Fr. Euteneuer of Human Life International.

Not only were you an embarassment to yourself, but also to all Catholics who understand what you do not.

Your attempt to deflect criticism to the scandals was weak… and you have now become a scandal.

Your attempt to demean the priest by using verses out of context was laughable… your theology studies apparently have either been forgotten or were errant to begin with.

I hope, for the sake of your own eternity, that you are not teaching your kids to abstain now, but later they can practice contraception at will.

You may reply if you wish… but I doubt your screeners will add my email to what I hope is a hugh number of those Catholics, untrained and “un-seminaried”, who are truly Catholic.

I pray that you will study more on this subject, see your error, learn what is Truth, accept that the “scandalous” Church is right, and then confess… before receiving Communion again.

His religion discussion forum is bigger than Catholic Answers. :eek: I sent him an email but I sent it before I copied it for reprint here. I told him that I was praying for his departure from heresy and return to the Church, among other things.

hannity is wrong on this one. we need to pray for him so he learns our beliefs and dont misrepresent the church anymore.
good for the priest taking him on!
