Anyone got a suggestion as to a place that has QUIET retreat rooms? Several places I have stayed had walls so thin you could hear the person next door moving around (or in one case talking to herself). Another place I was upstairs but the person downstairs had a bad cold and so I could hear them loudly coughing and sneezing the whole time. I am West Coast but willing to go almost anywhere in the US or Canada to get some actual quiet time.

You might try the Benedictine Holy Trinity monastery in St. David, AZ. It’s almost abandoned so it can be very quiet. The down side is that the brothers and the prior were called away due to low numbers and they don’t offer daily mass and they struggle to get a priest on Sundays.
