Searching for a specific prayer: oldest known orthodox prayer

Hello,
yesterday I took a look in an orthodox liturgical book at the russian orthodox parish here, and were shown a prayer including terms like “the rising evening light”. It was very short and I was told it was ne of the most or even the oldest known christian prayer (beside scripture of course). May anyone help me to find it? It was prayed during the ninth hour prayer, but I can´t find it in the liturgical prayers for this time, maybe because the rite was special before te rite of forgiveness sunday.

Maybe you are thinking of Fόs Ilarόn (O Gladsome Light or Or Joyful Light) of Vespers?

ROCOR version:

O Gentle Light of the holy glory of the immortal, heavenly, holy, blessed Father, O Jesus Christ: Having come to the setting of the sun, having beheld the evening light, we praise the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit: God. Meet it is for Thee at all times to be hymned with reverent voices, O Son of God, Giver of life. Wherefore, the world doth glorify Thee.

Byzantine Catholic version:

O Joyful Light of the holy glory of the Father Immortal, the heavenly, holy, blessed One, O Jesus Christ, now that we have reached the setting of the sun, and see the evening light, we sing to God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (+). It is fitting at all times to raise a song of praise in measured melody to you, O Son of God, the Giver of Life. Therefore, the universe sings your glory.

It is the Fós Illarón, but as I see in an old fashiones russian/german translation. Finally found it in a horologion. I hadn´t recognized it. Now I can search the book next time, I will write down the version as it was very beautiful.
