Okay, so how do I get hold of a so called perforated condom? I found an internet page that sold such things but it cost 10$ and that is absurd. Does anyone have an idea?? I live in Europe which does not make the case easier!
Hope you can help me,
Amber:confused:

Why not just buy regular ones and use a pin to poke holes in them? After all, that’s what perforate means.

Follow your doctor’s direction on this. Some fertility specialists can provide them to you.

If that is not the case with your doctor, then you can purchase a condom that has no spermicide and no lubricant and no anything else (color, flavor, or whatever else they are putting on condoms these days) and put holes in the tip with a straight pin. Ask your doctor if there is a brand they recommend.

Thank you guys.
I’m quite sure my doctor never heard about perforated condoms. Catholics are a very small minority in my country.
My concern with making the whole myselv is that I might make a mistake so it does not work:eek: … Don’t want all these problems, I just want that we get it over with asap.
Hugs,
A

Well, put it this way. The purpose of the perforations is to allow at least some sperm to go through while keeping sufficient trapped within the condom for testing purposes.

You can test the condom after making the holes - put water into it, if some water leaks through to the other side while some stays inside, then it’s doing what it should.

Dear LilyM
Thanks so much for the concrete advise. I’ll do that:)

We got ours from our fertility dr and I think it was around $6 or 7…
You should get help from PopePaul VI instittute
Praying for you.

You paid 6 $ for a condom???
My husband is not too keen on this whole thing as it is, and if I tell him we have to pay an absurd amount of money for … sorry I just think it is crazy.

Also we don’t have a PopeVI institute in this part of the world. If they charge 6$ for a condom just imagine what it will cost to have it shipped over. :rotfl:

Email them.

They work with physicians all over the world.

Also, check with the Couple to Couple league. They are international and may know of physicians in your part of the world. ccli.org/

$6 is the price of a cup of fancy coffee or lunch at McDonald’s here. You might check with your St. Vincent De Paul Society and see if they will help you defray the cost should it be too burdensome.

Contacting PopePaulVI …they can probably tell you where you can get it close to you…

They refered me to the fertility clinic in Canada:)
