I’d like to learn more about the culture during biblical times. The only book I see so far is Asimov’s Guide to the Bible. I have his book, The Relativity of Wrong, and I remember it being a pretty good read. My local library has the 1981 edition of Asimov’s Guide to the Bible–is 1981 too dated?

Does anyone know of a good book that presents the Bible in its historical aspect?
