Interesting that you mention imagine dragons. I have started wondering if they write songs with a religious connotation making it look like secular. Their previous hit radioactive is obviously about the New age of Aquarius and then this one. The fact that they refuse to say what the song means makes it more interesting 🤷:hmmm::hmmm:
 
This one is an oldie but for some reason it’s always made me think of heaven. Especially the last verse.

I always imagine God telling us that. I’ve even used those verses when in prayer sometimes. :o I know that’s not what Sinatra had in mind writing those words but hey! They’re true! The best IS yet to come. 👍

It’s a song about a time in Beyonce’s life when she experienced a miscarriage. But the lyrics which I love most are in bold. They remind me a lot about the sacrament of confession, and sometimes I listen to it the day before my confession.

Sorry Hoosier, on the radio the lyrics are actually “you might look around”. I accidentally copied another version. I don’t know what issue you have with Imagine Dragons song, I guess I could clarify that I imagined those words could be the sinner’s when talking to Jesus if that helps any.

i agree. people looking for love with a bf or gf are often really looking for God anyway. esp. people who are inclined to write lyrics/ poetry are a lot of times tuning into something higher which might be Gods grace… i love pete townshend the who and paul simon’s songs. pete townshend admits he feels sometimes hes writing for jesus… even though hes not quite christian…
