Dubbed Brazil’s “pop-star priest” by the Associated Press, and Brazil’s “celebrity priest” by Newsweek, Rossi has been a phenomenon in popular culture in Brazil since the late 1990s.
Though he was violently shoved off the stage, he wasn’t seriously hurt.

Companions of the woman reportedly told the police that she suffers from mental health problems.

It was in Brazil; I would have loved to see the priest pull some Jiu Jitsu on her!
 
The first thing he said when he was helped to his feet was that he forgave her and wasn’t going to press charges.
