I’m not talking about whether the Bishop gave an answer to why the priest was removed. He did. It was because the priest told somebody outside the church hierarchy about his allegations. This is not hearsay or conjecture, this is from the bishop’s mouth.
Why do you want more than what has already been said? The truth is, your Bishop doesn’t owe you or anyone else in your parish an explanation of why he let the priest you were so fond of go. The fact that you got that much information should be enough.

If it’s a legal matter, your Bishop saying more could make things worse. Pray for all involved and leave the outcome to God and the people who by law are allowed to know.

I’m not going to accept that. I don’t think an appointment as a Bishop comes with absolution if accountability.
I don’t know what you’re going to do to change it. Bring a lawsuit? Picket his office?

Church Militant has written an article about this whole situation and it’s very clear that everyone involved in this situation, including the Bishop and the priest involved, have “lawyered up”. They are not going to be talking to you. Not even to be polite. I’m also not convinced that the Bishop needs to be “accountable” for anything here. You keep saying you’re not expecting us to believe one or the other side of the story, then you say things like the Bishop has to be accountable to you. No, he doesn’t. You’re not his superior or his board of directors. The Church is not a democracy; it’s not run like those Protestant churches where the members of the church vote on things.

The Church is what it is. And when the lawyers enter the picture (on both sides), everybody clams up.
