No.

We all come to God and Jesus Christ differently or not at all, for those who are not religious at all.

I am happy and understand the purpose of life much better.
Thank you for your answer. Now, for my other question:
You haven’t answered my question. The actual method was immersion in the river Jordan. Why is it that the method is important and must be kept to the letter, but not the place?

Again how could 3000 be baptized? The lack of the availability of water is a great argument against immersion.

I honestly have never thought about water or the lack of it in Jersualem. I wondered if your point was centered on time but you are suggesting lack of water. I just got done go ogling it all. It seems like there may have been a gusher or flowing well that spewed forth great amounts of water named Gihon that was the water supply for the city. I guess I had always naively envisioned a river or lake nearby but I don’t think I remember ever talking about the water factor before. And remember, I am not arguing for immersion, I was just curious about the time factor.:o

I enjoy the exchange with you. I went to Jerusalem a couple of years ago. The lack of water really struck me.

What is the city’s water source?. In relation to the account in Acts 2, does this really say that all were baptized that day? It says they were baptized but could that mean “over the next few days?” It says they “added unto them 3000 the same day” …could that possibly mean that many made commitments and the baptismal procedures followed? Just curious. Also who is “unto them” ? Do we know when the Apostles were baptized?

41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
Pilates Aqueduct this might answer some of your question. I would believe however, that most of the water was used for drinking not having bodies put into it. It is probably the reason that John used the Jordon for his baptisms.
