Please pray that I will be able to overcome
TWO bad habits and that I will be able to
come to Perfect Contrition for various sins.

For Help in Trials

Most holy apostle St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the name of the traitor who delivered your beloved Master into the hands of His enemies has caused you to be forgotten by many. But the Church honors and invokes you universally as the patron of hopeless cases–of things despaired of. Pray for me who feels so hopeless. Make use, I implore you, of that particular privilege accorded to you of bringing visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need, that I may receive the consolations and succor of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings, in particular (That I will get back to the straight and narrow way), and that I may bless God with you and all the elect throughout eternity. I promise you, O Blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, and I will never cease to honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to do all in my power to encourage devotion to you. Dear Benedict the XI, you were a humble Dominican who rose quickly to become the leader of your order, then a cardinal, then a bishop. As a prelate, you one of the only ones to defend Pope Boniface when he was seized, beaten and forced from the palace. When you were elected to the See of St. Peter, you made sure that justice was served for your predecessor and shepherded your flock with fairness and gentleness. Though you only served eight months as pope, your tenure was marked with holiness. Pray for all who have posted here today, that we may be charitable and patient with all those who oppose us, submit to the will of God, and defend our faith until the bitter end. Bl. Pope Benedict XI, pray for us!

Please don’t attempt again. My dad tried to commit suicide in 1995 by shooting himself in the chest. He missed his heart, collapsed his lung and created for himself health problems that he lives with to this day.

I wrote your name down in my prayer journal. May God bring you out of this healthy and whole. Amen.

Never ever ever ever never give up, my friend. Saints are made by persevering even though they fall one hundred times, our Lord, is there ready to pick you up one hundred and one, then two, then three.

You’ve been on this forum a long time, to post that many times. That tells me that even though you’ve been in darkness, you have searched for the light and consolation of God. I know that when I have a hard time praying, or I’m in some kind of desert, hoping for God, that I find him here in the victory of the saints, and the people who pray for me.

I know that some sins seem impossible for you to overcome, BUT nothing is impossible for God. Do your best to move forward, and in times of temptation, perhaps try this, because she’s definitely worked for me.

When temptation and the evil one is at your chest, pulling you down, just continue to pray the Hail Mary until it’s gone. And then I also pray the St. Michael Prayer for further protection. I know the evil one’s ways. He brings temptation to you, and tells you no one will know or care, and then as soon as you fall, he’s the FIRST one to CONDEMN. So trust in our Lady who stands at your feet to protect you.

I’m going to pray First Friday tonight, and you’ll be in my intentions.
