Self-Evident or Not?

If we naturally accept that which is self-evident,
Why would we reject that which is self-evident?
So,

We naturally know what is self-evident,
But don’t choose it out of weakness of will.

But if we persevere through suffering,
Detaching from material wants,
Guided by principles, then
Our will is strengthened,
In choosing those,
Principles?

(It perfects our faith?)

False dichotomy.
Define principles.

False dichotomy.
Define principles.
A principle is,
A Way to an End,
And the End itself.

For example,

We choose Happiness to be happier,
We choose Happiness to be completely happy.

And,

We don’t want to get stuck on the Way without End.

(Perpetual longing for Happiness without End, results in unhappiness.)

But if we persevere through suffering,
Detaching from material wants,
Guided by principles, then
Our will is strengthened
happy.
And so,

The love we have for principles,
Over the love we have for material wants,
Can mature to completion through perseverance,
Over the love we have for material needs.

Happiness.

Eating and sexual behavior,
Besides making us happier,
Can also make us miserable (health issues, victimization,…)

Since Happiness = Life,

Eating and sexual behavior,
Guided by principles (such as Respecting Life)
Can reduce misery, and make us happier.
Also,

That which is material,
Can help us understand principles,
That which is material,
Is in the Way to an End,
But is not the End itself.

The only reason, according to the paradigm you have created, would be if something UNNATURAL caused us to reject it.
Within this context,
I mean “nature” as,
“Based on an inherent sense of right and wrong,”
As opposed to,
The material world.

That which is material,
Can help us understand principles,
That which is material,
Is in the Way to an End,
But is not the End itself.
As we persevere,
In incorporating a principle,
In our mind and actions (body),
We share in being a way to an end for others,
(Without being the end itself).

Helping others without a belief in God is an end itself?

We make sacrifices,
In “helping” others,
But if not in Love,
It is an unhappy end.

(God = Love = Happiness)
Helping is not more important,
Than the principle which guides it.

For example,

I can help another catholic,
Realize that they are,
Being an apostate.
But,
I can do this lovingly,
Or I can do this unlovingly.

Persevering (which strengthens the will),
In loving help,
Perfects our happiness,

Persevering (which strengthens the will),
In unloving help,
Solidifies a lack of happiness.
(Perpetual longing for Happiness without End, results in unhappiness.)
And,

A sustained lack of happiness,
Decreases our happiness.
