Hi @as1989,

When someone is seeking help here on the forum, I usually recommend that they start by talking to their Pastor or Parish priest.

They have the ability to discern what we need, when it comes to seeking help. They can put us in the right direction.

This is what I have done when I have needed help, and my Pastor would then guide me in what I would need to do.

In one instance, he directed me to Psychological Counseling. He told me that he did indeed have that kind of a background, but that he could not give me the kind of help that I needed, so he recommended that I seek outside help.

The soul is the source of our internal divinity. It is infinite and eternal just as God is infinite and eternal. Like Father like Son. We are one with God because of the soul. It is heresy to say we are not.

You should seek professional help first & foremost. Self harm is a manifestation of a severe problem. Yes, you should also maintain spiritual direction in conjunction with professional intervention. Praying to St. Dymphna for your health & recovery.
