So here’s the deal…I’m Irish… 42…not the worst person in the world…Clued into the world…but with a flaw…Due to a bone issue when I was a kid I’m 4ft10 in height … Andre the Giant would be proud lol… I’m also pretty ugly looking too…the verdict is passed on the streets or when I go anywhere (outside of people that know me)…The laugh’s…The Points…The Giggles…and the one that hurts…The social abject horrific idea of even a lady dating someone like me…It’s got to the point now where after 42 years …I actually agree with everyone…pretty much run myself down and enjoy it…but the worst thing is I’ve actually started to believe God enjoys it too (I know I can hear the what’s this guy saying chant lol) Even coming out of the Blessed Sacrament the other week after praying for a little respite I got it given to me by a couple of kids in town… literally 2-5 mins after walking out of the chapel…The feeling of worthlessnes not being wanted and genuine hatred for myself has gone over the edge

So what to Catholics do outside of praying (where you get laughed at or silence)…Be silent and listen…with no answer…or is it a case of just shut my mouth and suck it up

This has led me into sins which I’m now battling due to loneliness and worthlessnes (the usual suspects)

All I’ve wanted I guess is to feel normal, loved by someone outside my parents and brother…do right by my neighbor…marriage if it was possible

I think I’m asking now…what’s the point 😦

The body is but a vessel to sanctify our eternal soul. One can have the most beautiful and perfect body, yet have a very ugly soul. While physical health and beauty is very brief, the soul is eternal and has no limit as to how beautiful it can become. God only looks at the soul. The beautiful souls in the eyes of God are those who reflect His Goodness, Truth and Beauty. Since God is perfect the only way we can see Him is if we too become perfect. Thus the process of sanctification and perfection begins on earth within our own unique circumstances.

So don’t feel worthless or hate yourself. Just the fact that God created you to have a share in His eternal life is like winning the lottery of existence. God made you for a specific purpose that you and only you can fulfill.

The problem is that man has a spiritual predator the Church identifies as Satan—the devil. “Satan” is the accuser, who always tempts us to sin and then points out our sins to destroy our hope, our faith, and our love for God, in order to drag us down into the abyss with all the other fallen angels.

The fallen angels demonized themselves into wicked spirits of the dark; likewise, damned souls are the people on earth who become demonized through sin. Thus in this brief life we are either being sanctified and rising toward God, or becoming demonized and sinking into the abyss with Satan. The devil always wants to attack us to despair, to have no hope, to be resentful, to hate and to destroy what God has created.

There are people who are beautiful and healthy today, who next week are going to be in a horrible accident and be disfigured for the rest of their life on earth. Yet there are people who are perfectly healthy and normal in the eyes of the world, yet are spiritually crippled and disfigured.
The adventure is that we are all given different situations through which we can become sanctified, and everyday become more beautiful in the eyes of God.

One has to remember that not everyone’s heaven will be the same; as heaven is the Beatific Vision of God.The more one reaches sanctity the greater His vision of God will be. the way we grow in holiness is by allowing God to replace our old self with a new self: Himself.

Here is a good brief talk about the spiritually disabled:

Adults who are 4’ 10" and under are eligible to join LPA.

As a person with dwarfism, I can tell you that while there are some ignorant people who will laugh and say rude things, there are many more people who are above such things.

Look at Peter Dinkledge, he has often been voted one of the “sexiest men alive”. He has Achondroplastic dwarfism.

My dad and my brother are men with dwarfism. Neither of them has every lacked for dates, and both married beautiful women.

It is vital to present your best self to the world. Go to a hairstylist and ask them to not only give you a flattering hair cut but teach you how to style it. Get it trimmed every 6 weeks at least.

Care for your skin, use products to make sure your complexion is clear.

Have a manicure. Make sure you keep your nails trimmed, your teeth clean. Shoes should be shined and the best you can afford. Clothes should fit well and be clean and tidy.

You would be amazed how good grooming will help you walk across a room with your head held high.

Join LPA, get a peer group in a local chapter. https://www.lpaonline.org/

Look at patrons, like Bl Margaret of Castillo, St John the Dwarf, Zaccheus. Know that God has created you for a purpose.

First, whatever you suffer, Jesus and the saints suffered worse. Offer your suffering to God. Second, do not focus on the body/appearance, that is temporary. Focus on the soul. You said you feel lonely, but you have your family, some are truly alone in this world. Remember, whoever has God lacks nothing, God alone suffices.
