Selling catholic property...

I found this to be a little sad. I was born a catholic and this school has been in catholic hands for as long as I can remember. The building when I was a boy was basically a boarding school for boys from disadvantaged families who lived mainly in New York City. I wish that the catholic church could have held on to the property. However, the nuns did a wonderful christian act by selling the building to a non-denominational church. Any comments about this or loss of catholic property. I also heard of catholic churches being closed, one in New York CIty, a RC church where Dorothy Day attended.

It seems that in Buffalo and western New York Catholic schools and chruches are being closed and sold all the time.

Two Westerville teens are accused of plotting to bomb a Catholic church and two area restaurants in a Columbine-style attack, investigators said.Westerville police charged Scott Ennis, 16, and Daniel Woodrum, 15, each with delinquency counts of conspiracy to commit arson.
