Exactly how do seminary students pay to go to get their religious orders? How does this differ from say a seminary affiliated with a diocese versus a seminary affiliated with a Traditional group the like Priestly Society of St. Peter? Just wondering…

It depends on diocese what occurs and to some degree depends on the order. Some diocese pay the way for the seminarians with no fincancial liability all the way to total responsiblity of the student. Most orders educate their own or pay for the education.

Best way to find out is to contact the order you are interested in.
 
Our diocese has a club that raises money for vocations. In our parish, the Men’s Club offered financial help to any parish member that wanted to study for the priesthood. This was 20 years ago. Nobody has come foreward yet. Pray for vocations.
