I know this guy who has been in a Liberal seminary for 14 years, apparently it is a 3 year seminary. Needless to say he believes in homosexuality (was just celebrating Ellen Pages coming out) he believes in abortion, he believes in euthanasia… can someone tell me how this is possible? FYI… this is an Anglican seminary. Am I so wrong to be disgusted with with individual? Why do people who have a clear conflict with God want to get into seminary?? Why are liberals anywhere allowed to get into seminary? I would hope the Catholic Church would dismiss folks like this asap. Crazy world.

Well, there you have it. While we can’t exactly hold them to the same standards as Catholics, not all of them are like this. I have Anglican/Lutheran (supposedly in communion with eachother) family that are nearly just as Orthodox as I am.

Well, there you have it. Their very existance began in disobedience so their schooling a minister now with views like this can’t surprise me. They don’t all think like this though; I have Anglican/Lutheran family who are pretty well just as Orthodox as Catholics.

I have news for you if someone is suffering from cancer and goes into catholic hospice they are going to pump you with morphine to speed up your death to alleviate the pain and suffering.

by " speed up your death" you are insinuating euthanasia/assisted suicide…

Hospices will ONLY administer the doses of morphine to patients that a dr has prescribed…they do NOT pump them full of morphine to speed up their death…

I also notice you mention catholic hospices…any reason why you chose catholic ones to say that about?

Yes, moderator please delete this one.
My fault for trying to post something via mobile.

Apparently it’s God’s will that he be there.
I assume that he does not think he has a conflict with God.
It seems that people can have different beliefs than you and still feel close to God and want to be a minister and “serve” God.
Perhaps God wants liberals in the seminary and that’s why they are “allowed” in.
It’s a crazy world all right–but it’s God’s world.
I’d say it’s a waste of your energy to spend your time being “disgusted” with this person and that you should not worry about it.
.
…looks as if you’re one of those liberals based on how freely you seem to believe what they do and preach is somehow acceptable to God. I can be personally disgusted as much as I want these are people who are choosing to in their mind "make a difference, a euphemism for infiltration and antagonism. They have no place in seminaries anywhere. period.

How can I not worry about someone spreading the love of everything that is not Godly, projecting ideas that are not from God as being of God, agreeing with ideas like “as long as everyone is happy” who am I to interfere… Really??

I think people like you telling me to stop wasting my energy or caring is also an issue with this world. If you’re a serious Christian (of any denom) this should be something that you should be concerned about. It’s like a train wreck… a guy in seminary who is pro abortion, euthanasia and currently applauding Ellen Page for coming out… now don’t get me wrong Ellen Page is a human being who deserved respect but the glorification of the act of homosexuality is greatly disturbing, not to mention the horrible social network Facebook unveiling a new option that includes up to 50 gender identities you know just so in case people can’t figure out they’e male or female… apparently there are more than 50… and this is to be celebrated, and this man thinks all of this is a great joy. Then I see a few of his sad friends who defend him; one even said she loves how the pope is becoming more accepting of these things!!! WHAT!!! I’m sure the Pope is accepting of the people, I highly doubt he is changing his stance on the act of homosexuality and the need for confession and forgiveness.

Here is a little something to digest from the news…
You no longer have to identify as “male” or “female” on Facebook. Beginning today (Feb 14th), you can choose from 56 different gender identities including asexual, androgynous, transgender, genderqueer, and more.
According to the company’s official announcement, Facebook worked with its “Network of Support, a group of leading LGBT advocacy organizations” in order to select the 50 new gender identity options. Aside from identity, you can now also choose the pronouns Facebook uses when referring to you—male, female or neutral (they/their).
Here are the 56 we’ve identified so far—they’re only accessible via an autocomplete drop-down menu within Facebook, so please let us know if we’ve missed any:

So… there is something wrong with a man in seminary who is pro Liberal in every aspect of his life, puts his target on everything conservative (See: Stephen Harper & Gov’t youtu.be/-ZmbQG0I5lo ) claims that all conservatives care about is money and greed (wow that’s original and stupid!) I told him how much I give to charity, the time I spend with a charity organization every year and that I consider myself ultra conservative, I asked what he does… I got not answer, he ignored that part… funny I vision him the guy at the checkout in a store who is asked to give a few bucks for SickKids Hospital in Toronto and he’s like “no, i’m good” typical Liberal… all talk until it’s time to actually do something for charity and they are silent. He should not be allowed to step foot in a church believing all the nonsense he does. You’re damn right I am annoyed.

My friend is an Anglican priest, he is actually more on the Catholic side, so it is confusing to me as he went to seminary with this guy in the year 2000, now this is a 3 year thing… my friend is long gradated and has his own church, this guy 14 years later is still in seminary he says it’s because he had sick family… that is why he is still in it, I am hoping it’s more like he keeps failing because even they can see he is not worthy of being even a LOW Anglican priest.

The poor bloke has been in this three year seminary for 14 years? From what you say of his beliefs it is clear why he is failing the course. Persistent little fellow isn’t he?
Just prayer that the blindness shall fall from his eyes in his fervent search for God in his own sad way.

Theres nothing we can do about this…if the anglican church allow liberals…then they will allow him to be there…the catholic church has no jurisdiction over any other denomination and cant tell another denomination what to do in regards to liberal seminarians…if this issue bothers you then write to whoever is in charge at the anglican church and ask them to resolve the issue

Please state your source…

by " speed up your death" you are insinuating euthanasia/assisted suicide…

I cannot understand why the poster you have commented on, placed his comment in this thread. I missed the connection completely.
In any hospice for the dying, Catholic or public, morphine and other pain killers are prescribed by the doctors for the relief of pain. If as a secondary effect it also lessens the respiratory responses and in some cases hastens death it is not the intention of the care givers.
Crystal Waters, Your anger inferred by readers of your post is justifiable. Caring for the dying is a blessed and difficult calling. Made more so by posts of short unsubstantiated accusations from some one with some sad agenda who needs our prayers.

Actually our existance began with Jesus.

Actually our church began with Christ just as did the Orthodox, Polish National Catholic Church, Union of Ultrecht, SSPX and all other independent churches of Catholic lineage.

Hope it helps.😉

I have a sister that’s a nurse and an uncle that was checked into a catholic hospice by his wife less than within 5 hrs he was gone.

I have a grandmother that’s 96 about 6 months ago her son was about to put her hospice my sister convinced him not to, she said, if he puts her in there she would die within 2 weeks. Good thing she convinced him not to now she’s going on 97.

I have news for you if someone is suffering from cancer and goes into catholic hospice they are going to pump you with morphine to speed up your death to alleviate the pain and suffering.
As a hospice volunteer, I scoff at the ignorance of your insinuation.

You aren’t wrong in thinking that. This guy supports sin and as a catholic you should oppose his ideas

Needless to say he believes in homosexuality
to support homosexuality is actually an impediment to orders.

The Church calls it deep seeded homosexuality. Also If you support the homosexual subculture and support the so called “right for gays to marry” you can’t be ordained. So if this guy was Catholic he would not be allowed into seminary if those in charge of his formation knew of this. (aka vocations director, bishop, anyone involved at the seminary, etc.)
