Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) – With polls showing as many as 63 percent of Americans oppose abortions and strong majorities against taxpayer funding of it, abortion advocates are desperate to mainstream abortion. One pro-abortion lawmaker has an amendment to the Senate health care bill to do just that.

I’m curious, which organizations conducted the polls? How many people were polled? Were the organizations that conducted the polls a neutral third party or paid for by either pro-choice or pro-life?

Praying:gopray2:!!!

I don’t know if this is where the 63% comes from, but Pew Research Center polls show similar pro-life numbers. Not sure if they’re numbers are recent though… BTW Pew is fairly neutral. Everybody relies on Pew numbers:)

These people, in Congress, live a media and poll bubble. Away from who or which lobbyist says what, or what the latest poll says.

The only reason I asked was that the numbers came from Life View which I’m sure puts their spin on it. If its from Pew, then the chances are that its a valid number since they take no position eitherway as a rule.

I got this in my e-mail
Today, pro-choice activists from around the
country are gathering on Capitol Hill to
lobby against the Stupak-Pitts Amendment,
which as you know bans government money from
funding abortions in the U.S. House passed
version health care reform legislation. The
event is being sponsored by the Feminist
Majority Foundation and co-sponsored by the
usual suspects: Planned Parenthood, NOW,
NARAL, Religious Coalition for Reproductive
Choice, ACLU, and many others.
You see, the other side is scared. They
know that passing pro-life amendments like
Stupak-Pitts in health care reform legislation
will take money out of the pockets of the
abortion industry giant, Planned Parenthood.
And as abortion facilities continue to close
and the number of Americans who oppose abortion
rises (a recent CNN poll reported that 63% of
Americans oppose abortion), Planned Parenthood
knows they are going to need federal funding
of abortion to keep afloat.
Today, we need Capitol Hill to hear your pro-life
voice now more than ever.
Please call your senators (tinyurl.com/b1lm)
TODAY and tell them that government funding of
abortions is NOT healthcare and they should oppose
it at all costs. Ask them to insert the Stupak-
Pitts language in the Senate bill that specifically
excludes government-funded abortions.
