He said he feared for his life and felt they would have killed them if it had not been for police. One man was attacked and knocked down.in a separate incident.

Others were also attacked

RNC attendees are attacked by BLM mob after being left with NO police protection: Elderly man is punched in the back of the head and knocked to the ground while balaclava-clad protester threatens to ‘f*** up’ RNC committeeman and his wife(Please Note: This uploaded content is no longer available.) I’d love to know what percentage of these losers actually vote when they have a chance.

Also interesting would be the percentage of them who live in their parent’s basement, the percentage who have a job, and the percentage who have a college major that ends with the word “Studies”.

While humorous I think this somewhat underscores the reality of indoctrination in the class room that has spread to every single facet of the educational system. Along with the proliferation of these ideas in society.

As I have said on another thread, this will cost Democrats the election, more than anything else. I personally know at least two people who will not vote for Joe Biden because of this. One will stay home(can’t stand Trump) but doesn’t want to reward the Democrats either(I live in a blue state that has seen riots, this person has seen the damage first hand)
The other will vote for Trump. I do know loyal Democrats who will still vote for Joe Biden as they think this will stop when he is in the White House, but I know of few of the “walk aways” too.
This reminds me of the 1968 Election.

Anecdotally, I am hearing that a lot. The violence is not helping the Democrats. And I don’t see them or anyone being able to control this beast, and they seem unwilling to take too strong a stand on it for fear of offending the protestors whose votes they depend on.

Except that LBJ did the smart thing and resigned. Let Humphrey or Nixon deal with the never ending protests and insurgents.

Well, get your act together.

Stuff is on fire over here. Uncle Hugo’s Bookstore and it’s twin, Uncle Edgar’s, was accelerated to a fare-thee-well, months ago. Can’t read ashes. But surely, the flame meant something to someone.

My wife still has Facebook so that she can interact with our Catholic homeschool group. This morning, following the attempted mobbing of Rand Paul, we had someone complaining that people were talking about the RNC even. Not arguing, not bashing anyone, but lending any mention to it at all… even on a religious homeschool page there’s aggression toward discussing conservative viewpoints. It seems like no where that we go are we able to express our opinions anymore, meanwhile every major news outlet and even in the military (in the unit that I serve) people can freely mock conservatives and express any policy they want. Even the Pro-Life Democrats were barred from speaking at the DNC this year. Yet pro-life folks still think they have a place in the party? We are talking about a 9 month old child being murdered on the way out of a woman being called that woman’s ‘right’. To disagree is hateful and unwelcome anywhere.

We can expect more of this. I’ll be praying for the members of both parties, that they might come to terms with the fact that what we need right now is unity through non-violence and the free exchange of ideas. We can’t keep calling the other side evil, either of us, and we need to start letting one another speak. I’m tired of feeling co-erced into accepting every leftist talking point without so much as a polite rebuttal.

I’m ranting. Glad the Senator is safe. Let’s knock this crud off.

President Donald Trump on Friday praised police officers protecting Sen. Rand Paul after the Republican National Convention.

“Rand Paul was in big trouble last night,” Trump explained to voters in New Hampshire about the violence the night before. “He’s a good guy. He’s a friend of mine. That shouldn’t happen to anybody.” . . .

. . . Paul and his wife Kelley were surrounded by protesters who threatened him after he left the White House on Thursday night. . . .

. . . “They would have done that to Senator Rand Paul last night,” Trump said. “He would either be in very bad shape or dead, and that would include his wife if those police didn’t happen to be there.”

The president praised the police officers who stepped up to help escort the Pauls to safety. . .

. . . The president said that Democrats continued supporting the ongoing riots, despite rioters across the country engaging in more physical violence.

“The puppet Biden, who is just controlled so strongly, wants
you to cancel weddings and funerals and schools
but has no problems with
thousands of so-called peaceful protesters cramming into your streets,
mugging people,
hurting people,
looting stores,
burning down storefronts,” he said.

Then you shouldn’t be surprised by the liberals making fun of conservatives and mocking their beliefs.
This wasn’t liberals making fun of conservatives, this was violent rioters looking to attack Republicans. Senator Paul & his wife were not the only ones who had to deal with these attacks leaving the White House. Everyone leaving the White House from that exit met with the same thing. Although I’m sure that wasn’t shown on the liberal news media.

I wonder how things would have gone if there hadn’t been law enforcement there? Given the behavior of the rioters with the police there I’m sure people would have been injured. One elderly man, not even clear if he had been at the White House or not, was hit in the back just for standing there.

The idea that you believe all of this is okay is very concerning. It’s concerning there are Catholics who believe violence is the answer to any of what is going on in our country.

Rand Paul was also viciously attacked by his leftist neighbor. Bernie Sanders supporter, James Hodgkinson, opened fire on a baseball practice full of Republican Congress-people, almost killing Steve Scalise.

Leftist politicians’ vicious rhetoric against Trump and Trump supporters could be encouraging this kind of evil violent behavior.

Yep,lest we forget: Maxine Waters screeching to her supporters that they were to get in faces of anyone from Trump’s administration and tell them they weren’t welcome,at returants, shopping malls etc. Then we have Eric Holder ,who said when they go low,we don’t go high,we kick them.Sarah Sanders,Mitch McConnell having their dinners disrupted by anti Trumper’s s spitting in their food ,running them out of restaurants. The lefties banging drums and yelling through bull horns Murder the Turtle in the nighttime in front of MM home.Yeah they are vile nasty people

Folks are saying that Rand certainly was not “attacked”:

“Sen. Rand Paul tweeted early Friday morning that an “angry mob” of “over 100” attacked him as he left the Republican National Convention at the White House, thanking police for “literally saving our lives,” but video of the incident appears to show a much smaller crowd that didn’t touch Paul or his wife, and they seem to have sustained no injuries.”

Folks here believe Rand was attacked (with no harm) but doubted that John Lewis was heckled in the Capitol?

" “But I’m actually the author of the Breonna Taylor law to end no-knock raids. So the irony is lost on these idiots that they’re trying to kill the person who is actually trying to get rid of no-knock raids.”

Were they trying to kill him? I didn’t see any of that.
