Series on Church Fathers of the 5th & 6th century w/ Fr David Anderson

This class has been going on for several weeks already but people can join at any time. We’re now going thru a selection of anathemas from the Fifth Ecumenical Council. The class is at Marin Catholic HS which is just off 101 at San Rafael.

Father David Anderson, pastor of St Peter Eastern Catholic Church, Ukiah, CA, a renowned scholar and translator will begin offering a series of classes on the Church Fathers of the 5th & 6th century, in conjunction with the book “Imperial Unity of Christian Divisions” by Father John Meyendorff.

Every Thursday 7:30 PM - 9:00 PM, beginning September 19, 2013, 12 sessions at Marin Catholic high school, 675 Sir Francis Drake Boulevard in Kentfield. (There is no class on Thanksgiving; the last class will be on December 12.)

Donations: $250 recommended for the Fall session (12 classes) but no one will be turned away for lack of funds. People are invited to come by for a free class visit.

At the PSALM conference a couple of years ago the leaders called Fr. David “a walking encyclopedia” He comes from a family of both Orthodox and Eastern Catholics in PA. He’s an amazing scholar and pastor. This is a wonderful opportunity to study with a very special priest.
