Being separated from my minor children for years now, I’ve tried to make a conscious effort to make our separation a religious retreat. Reinventing myself as a more embracing catholic that I have ever been before. I prayed harder, tried to learn more about my catholic faith by reading and visiting sites. Even joined as a prayer warrior to some sites. Consciously making an effort to apply it day by day in my small ways, by exercising patience, understanding, compassion and forgiveness . From time to time, doing a reality check as to whether I am doing the right thing, trying to hear that tiny little voice I call my guardian angel.
I am in the most troubled time in my life, filled with uncertainty and longing for my children. One has to live it to understand how it feels like to live in a foreign country as a non resident or citizen, 3 months at a time. Not knowing if you will be given another visa extension or whether your visa extension gives you permission to work and earn a living for your children back home. I’ve embraced it for 6 long years, often in tears, and when I am faced with a blank wall not knowing what to do. I often say as what Jesus said “ Lord let this cup pass me by, still I will drink from it, as your will not as I.”. And endure some more and thank God for this glorious sadness and torment that brings me to my knees and talk to God, rely on God, trust in God.
Now I am seriously backsliding, losing my grip on the one thing that has kept me on the balance all these years. My faith. Tempted, defiant, exhausted, consciously sinning for the sake of sinning, rebelling, like a daughter craving for father’s attention, when will he ever look at me so I can claim my joy?
My spiritual well is running dry. I need your help…Help me reaffirm my faith. I have my court hearing on November 30. The tiny voice in my head says: “this is the day that the Lord has made”. I just need enough courage to accept what this day would bring and find that lost inner peace that reassures me that says: fear not, this is the Lord’s way. And make me march on understanding that my trials are only meant to make stronger and a better God fearing person. I need your prayers.
Thank you Lord for this website and the wonderful people in here. Bless them abundantly. Cover them and the people they love with your most precious blood.
