Seriously ill 16 year old Girl

Emily, a wonderful, pious, humble, and sweet 16 year old (my niece) On Wednesday she became very ill with a staph infection. She is in the hospital and the doctors are confounded by her condition. It is in her reproductive organs, which for a girl who is modest very embarrassing. Nevertheless, it’s this serious infection that I am asking, pleading really, for your prayers. I’m very worried, and trying to Trust God at the same time. I’m praying for a miracle here, one that will TRULY confound the doctors.

Thank you for praying. My heart is breaking! I’m off to Mass now!

I’ve prayed for Emily–that she recovers from whatever is causing this infection and God brings good out of the situation.

Stay strong during this time.

God bless all those involved.
 
Our Lady Health of the Sick be with this girl and extend your healing hand and grant her the healing she needs so that she may give glory to God!!

O Great Physician, we implore you once again on behalf of this 16 year old girl with a staph infection. Lord, we ask that You help the doctors and nurses who are taking care of her to make the best decisions for her health. Lord, give the doctors insight into her condition. Let the antibiotics and other treatments clear this infection. My God, we ask You because we know that you are good! We know that You are able. Please sent your Spirit to comfort this girl and her family. We ask through Jesus’ name. Amen.

Update from her mom, just now…

Emily is in good spirits thanks to some very effective pain meds! Diagnosis changed again today as they finally sent the specialist in. Don’t know when she will be home yet but her recovery will at least be another 3 weeks. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. She is somewhat relieved that they could now identify the problem and come up with a course of action that will help the healing process. The symptoms that she has is a result of a very rare condition and how her auto-immune system reacted to a viral cough and fever that she has had for the last two weeks.

Thank you for your prayers and continued support. I thank God, for hearing our prayers, and I thank Him for his doctors, nurses and everyone in the ward.

Blessed are you, Lord God:

Blessed are you for ever.
Great is your mercy for your people:
Blessed are you for ever.

Lord God, thank You for hearing our prayers for Emily. Thank You for granting Your wisdom and knowledge to her doctors who now have a better idea of what is going on. I ask You to continue to bless Emily with Your healing power so that she can be restored to the best possible health. AMEN.
