What was the topic of the sermon at the last service you went to?
I’m Muslim so I went on Friday, and the topic was proper etiquette when listening to the Friday sermon.
We’re supposed to be paying attention, right? So can we remember what was discussed? How does it apply to our lives this week? Will it change us and make us better? Remind us to do good?
Just post it here! What was the sermon about? Or if you use a different word for a worship service lecture, please share.
Today I also went to a lecture that was linguistic commentary on the Qur’an–the speaker spent about 20 minutes talking about how some Muslims are totally crazy and limiting their perspective by trying to “abrogate” the Qur’an, and ignore big chunks of it, and that non-Muslims have a clever way of discrediting honest mainstream Muslims who speak out. It’s a word I read a lot on this forum, but I wasn’t surprised at all that neither sister sitting beside me had ever heard of it. Most Muslims haven’t.
