Servant Song by Ziggy Stardust???

[3xpappy]

“Ziggy Stardust” is an assumed name of a fellow student where I studied Liturgical Music in the 1970’s. At that time he was quite heavy into rock music and appreciated David Bowie. We were quite good friends. He was creative, and a good musician (guitarist). As happens, we lost contact a few years after completion of our studies. Since my experiences have mostly been with OCP products, I was unaware that he published anything. I’ll be checking out his GIA title!

I didn’t know where else to post this question, so my apologies if it’s in the wrong forum.

We sang the “Servant Song” today from the Gather Hymnal, and I was surprised to see that it was written by Ziggy Stardust and Bobby Fisher (without the “c” in the chess champion’s name).

I did a Google search, but couldn’t find anything. Surely this is not a song written by David Bowie…
is it?
