Serving at the Altar on Good Friday

Hello,

I have no idea where to go for this, so I thought I’d check here. I am supposed to be an altar server for the Good Friday Liturgy this week at our local Tridentine Latin Mass parish. I have been serving for about 8 months and have a good handle on a standard low/high Mass. However, I have never served the Good Friday liturgy, which, as most people know, is not a Mass. We are supposed to have a 30 minute practice beforehand but I would be a lot more comfortable reading ahead and knowing what I will be doing. I believe I will be an acolyte that day.

Are there any guides online with altar server instructions for this special liturgy? I’ve scoured sanctamissa.org, which has a lot of good instruction on serving Mass, but no information for Good Friday.

Particularly with the remaining time left and variations that may be present at your parish, it may be best and fastest to get your answers from your parish priest or your diocese on the particulars. Since the Good Friday liturgy works similarly to a normal, there should be little surprise, but do check right away.
