'Sesame Street' suing over Melissa McCarthy's R-rated puppet movie

i wonder what their Dad would think of this movie if he were still alive.
it will be interesting to see what becomes of the lawsuit.
 
i think i read yesterday that the Sesame Street side who brought the lawsuit lost.
 
That’s a bit hypocritical of them. They never sued seth mcfarland over the Bert & Ernie shorts he filled his cartoons with when he was short on material and needed to make up time for his network.

And in full honesty, I’m a hypocrite myself for reading into Scooby Doo and thinking Shaggy was a stoner who was getting his dog high. I suppose it’s comedy to take something wholesome and pervert it.
 
Some things like the muppets should just end and let us live the memories and the older stuff.
 
Exactly. There’s also an early Peter Jackson musical puppet movie called ‘Meet The Feebles’ which was very adult …

Pornography has existed for as long as the human species has been able to communicate. And was aa widespread in Ancient Rome as it is now.

There is nothing new under the sun.
 
Brian Henson can’t sell the rights unconditionally and then damage the brand after-the-fact by associating it with this. If he wanted to use his father’s creation this way, he shouldn’t have sold the rights.
 
There’s a difference between satire and adult. Avenue Q touched on things like racism in very truthful way and joking about the internet being for porn has a bit of real truth in it to make fun of.
