Hey…I struggle with chastity problems, and found a Christian site called “Setting Captives Free”. It has a 60 day course that it advises one take. There are many testimonials of people who have stopped their sexual sins after taking the course. I have taken the course, but stopped midway through. It seems to emphasize good things like depending on God’s love, and re-evaluating one’s motives for trying to stop (they should be out of love for God, not love of self). The longest I have gone without falling to my sexual sin in recent memory has been when taking this course (about 2 weeks). Does anyone have any info on this website or advice?

1. I believe you’re referring to settingcaptivesfree.com/U]. DO NOT confuse this site with settingcaptivesfree.org, which is run by a church preaching the “Word of Faith” heresy—that faith is a force, and words are containers of that force, and by using words “properly”, one can speak financial prosperity into one’s life.
2. A (Protestant) Christian radio program named “Family Life Today” featured the founder (?) of Setting Captives Free, Mike Cleveland telling his story (Nov. 4, 5, & 6, 2008). 3. Another useful site is for New Life Ministries—a Christian counseling ministry which also has a radio show. They offer a book titled “Every Man’s Battle”, a 1-weekend counseling series by the same name (offered at various sites around the country) with an impressive success rate, and books/seminars/advice on healing your relationship with your wife and family. Yes! I have been doing the Way of Purity Course on settingcaptivesfree.com since March and I have been free from sexual immorality ever since. I was caught up in that cycle of going to confession every week, and then falling back into the same sin a couple days later. One day, I started that course and now I’ve gone about 8 months! It has been an incredible experience for me. It is a Christian website, so it’s not necessarily Catholic. I recommend using the sacrament of Confession/Reconciliation along with the course.
