In another forum, someone noted:
In the seven sacraments established by Christ for use by his Church,
So my question is, are these Scriptural or Traditional?

Can someone provide me at least some Scriptural basis for these?

I ask because I’m preparing for a dialogue with a Unitarian Pentecostal.

Thanks

In the book of revelation the number seven is used a lot and there’s an image of the Lamb of God with seven horns to fight the devil. However, these are sometimes interpreted as the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit but could be interpreted as the seven sacraments. I don’t know if there should be eight sacraments as the vocation to be a nun is not sacramental although the vocation to priesthood and marriage is sacramental.
