Think about that, then consider the rape of Juanita Broderick by the then Attorney General of Arkansas. To whom can a woman turn for justice when she has been raped by the Emperor or the Attorney General?
You seem to be struggling with recent history. When Clinton was president, Republicans believed in checks and balances and the rule of law. And utlized congressional and judicial avenues ad nauseum.

It is under Bush that we have decided that we need an empirial presidency. That is, we need to shred the constitution and have the President beyond the reach of any law because, otherwise, the cheerleader from Andover won’t be able to protect us from scary people with swarthy skin…

Rape victims never have an easy judicial road, since we do still give the accused a presumption of innocence. But Arkansas, like most states, has laws and procedures concerning allegations made against people in power.

The issue isn’t that “Jane Doe No. 5” did not have legal recourse available to her, it is that, by her account, she never sought it. She claims that she accepted a bribe.

But when the Paula Jones lawyers listed her in the civil lawsuit Broderick signed an affidavit stating that Clinton never made sexual advances towards her. A few months later, she told the office of the independant council that the affidavit was false, and gave a new version of the original story (there was a logistics problem with the original alledged date and location).

Starr granted Broderick immunity, since she was claiming to have committed a crime (false affidavit), but did not refer her claim or any of the related materials to the House. Starr has never explained the decision officially, but others in the investigation claim it was an issue of credibility (3 different stories) and zero evidence (no trail for the substantial funds she claims changed hands, etc.).

An interesting side note, I was wondering who was still spouting this unsubstantiated sleaze as unvarnished truth. A quick search turned up the most hits for Rush. So, it only seems natural to close with a reference to Rush’s checked past. I don’t mean the official stuff, like one time “welfare queen” or convicted drug criminal. I mean taking a bucket of Viagra to the underage male prostitute capitol of the western hemisphere.

I guess that Clinton should have taken a lesson from Rush and committed his alledged deviant sex acts abroad. Come to think of it, the GOP politicians having problems with Washington pages and airport bathrooms should probably study the same lesson…

Perhaps if we could remove the Pacific coastal states and the northeastern states from our union then we’d eliminate much of that problem 🤷 Sometimes it is necessary to surgically extract a failing organ, or amputate a gangrenous limb to save the health of a person. Perhaps a political & geographical amputation would work?
Been thinking of the same thing. 😃

Your point?
It is under Bush that we have decided that we need an empirial presidency. That is, we need to shred the constitution and have the President beyond the reach of any law because, otherwise, the cheerleader from Andover won’t be able to protect us from scary people with swarthy skin…
Just because you say it, don’t make it true.

I say to those who complain about unconstitutional government, “Where were you when they ripped the 2nd Amendment out of the Bill of Rights?”

“Where were you when the Left proclaimed the Constitution is a ‘living document’?”
Rape victims never have an easy judicial road, since we do still give the accused a presumption of innocence. But Arkansas, like most states, has laws and procedures concerning allegations made against people in power.
But the presumption of innocense pretains only to the left, eh?

The president who settled a lawsuit over his predatory sexaual practices, paid a fne for lying under oath, and was disbarred is “innocent” and the president who did none of those things is “guilty.”

Gotcha!😛
The issue isn’t that “Jane Doe No. 5” did not have legal recourse available to her, it is that, by her account, she never sought it. She claims that she accepted a bribe.
Truly is it said, if a woman is raped once, she will be raped twice – the second time by those who defend the rapist.
Right – a victim of rape must be totally willing to be raped again, or else she really wanted it.

Given the potential need for haste, as you illustrate with these examples, it might be necessary to take rash action to save the US from itself.
dude…as someone FROM a pacific costal state, allow me to say…

ouch.

It is just the immorality dragging us down. Economically, if we return the birth rate to its previous levels, we have the ability to sustain anything. Just a thought from my own dad. Please don’t let these scare tactics of too many social programs causing a downfall get to you. Its not the programs that are at fault. It’s that there aren’t enough being born to keep them going.

I hold no major brief for GBII, but anyone who would compare him with Caligula has obviously never lived under a Caligula.

Caligula’s downfall came from seducing other men’s wives – using his power to rape them, if necessary.

Think about that, then consider the rape of Juanita Broderick by the then Attorney General of Arkansas. To whom can a woman turn for justice when she has been raped by the Emperor or the Attorney General?
Why didn’t I see this before?!?

The answer is Brutus, of course!

Brutus assasinated Gaius Julius Caesar (Great Caesar) about a century before Caligula was assassinated by Cassius Chaerea.
Brutus was also one of the founders of the Roman Republic, who ousted Tarquin the Proud after the Rape of Lucretia, commited by one of Tarquin’s sons. The Brutus who assassinated Caesar was likely a descendant of some sort.

It sees we have drifted from “seven signs” to discussing the tarnished behavior of presidents past and future. Was either Nero or Caligula black? I know they didn’t live near Chicago. Is this still a “Catholic” forum? Looks like trash talk to my dim mold eyes.🤷

Certainly we have a problem with the leader, he’s worse even than his dad and that didn’t seem possible. But the brain trust of the west coast is less of a brain trust and more of a societal cancer. Caligula indulged in sin. The whole of the west coast, combined with the northeast, are hyper self indulgent sub-cultures that are influencing the whole middle of America and providing us with such cultural benefits as TV shows like RAD GIRLS and spoon feeding us the details of Brittany Spears meltdown. These are the role models that our young girls are looking to, and our young boys have similar fine role models. The brain trust is funding much of the gender neutralizing policy that boosts the legitimacy of abortion, free sex, gay marriage, etc. Yup, cutting off limbs like those might cause some pain, but might also save society.
Okaaaay, just don’t lump everyone on the west coast and northeast into the same smelly pot. We’re not all corrupt godless personages…

Yes, different Brutus – separated by several hundred centuries.

So, my point is, if a woman was raped by the emperor (or attorney general), all she would have to do is tell her husband and father, then kill herself. Her husband will then collaborate with some guy named Brutus to overthrow the government and put the power in the hands of the people, theoretically.:hmmm: :coffeeread: :newidea:

**Huh? Our Caligula came up in Texas (at least he pretends to be Texan), not the Pacific Coast or the Northeast. ** I would daresay that cutting off the west coast and the northesat (which, IMO would irreparably damage the US economically) would also be cutting off some of the brain trust and economic power that keeps the rest of the country afloat.

??? Please elucidate.
:rotfl:
