Seven Sorrows needs a new singer/guitarist

With a saddened heart I have to tell you this news. Two days before going into the studio to record our new CD, Dan, our singer/guitarist told us that he no longer felt called to the band, but felt called to adoration. He was not willing to record the cd, so we had no choice left, but to cancel the recording. He has thus left the band and we have been left missing a singer and guitarist.

It is in God’s hands if we will find replacements in the future, but we of course still feel called to make Catholic music.

We are thus not releasing our new CD “Hymns Against Heresies” or our pro-life music video.

There is a letter written by Dan on our website if you would like to read it.

Please pray for us in this hard time and if you know any Catholics that can sing and/or play guitar (and are in Southern California), send them our way!

Dang, that sucks. I have your mp3’s on my computer and they are good. That bums me out. I’d offer to help, but I don’t know when I can. I play guitar and sing (don’t know how I stack up against your previous guy though). I’m in SoCal if you are wondering. If there is anything I can do, let me know.

If I could help before I leave for college, I would be more than happy to.

I’m leaving August 22nd for Olin College in Boston, and I work weekdays 9-5. I might be taking a few weeks in August off of work (one to shadow an orthopedic surgeon, the other probably free). Maybe we can work in out on the weekends if necessary.

We have already canceled our upcoming shows, so I think we will be cool until we find permanent replacements. But thank you sooo much for your offer. keep in touch and spread the word.
 
Thanks. Post up when your new album comes out, I want to hear it. I really like what you have done so far. I hope a new guitarist comes along that can help you out more that I can.

I got an idea…move to the Sacramento area and then I’ll give it a go for ya. 😃
 
Well, here’s something else that might work for you. I come back from college from Dec. 22 to Jan. 23, so if you wanted me to help you out then, I’m sure we could work it out. Thoughts?

I don’t know what God is calling us to. It seems that it would be best to have a permanent guitar player, otherwise we can’t play shows, etc. But who knows?

If I lived in Southern California – AND were a couple of decades younger – I’d audition for you in a heartbeat. 👋
