WHAT YOUR SEVENTH DAY ADVENTIST PASTORS DON’T WANT YOU TO KNOW:
• The word “Sabbath” and commanded “day of rest” does not show up in the Bible until Exodus 16:23. No one prior to the Mosaic Covenant celebrated “Sabbath”. None of the Patriarchs Adam, Noah, Enoch (who was raised body and soul Gen. 5:24), or Abraham who GOD had an “everlasting covenant” between them.
• In GOD’s progressive salvation plan the Mosaic Covenant was a provisional and temporary covenant - as the Jews were to temporarily serve as a “priestly Nation” to the world (Gentiles). Once the “promise” of Abraham came in Christ Jesus, then the old covenant was no longer binding (Gal 3:1-25 with emphasis on verse 25, Heb 8:13, Heb 9:15, Heb 10:9). St. Paul compares and contrasts the old and new covenants in Gal 4:21-31 with emphasis on verse 31, 2 Cor. 3:6-11 with emphasis on verse 11.
• Jews esteemed the Abrahamic Covenant more than even the “Sabbath” because of GOD’s “everlasting covenant” “promise” to Abraham. In the NEW COVENANT (Jer. 31:31-34), Baptism replaced “circumcision” as the NEW MARK for the people of GOD (Acts 15:1-20). Circumcision was commanded by GOD to be on the “8th” day (Gen.17:12). What “day” should Baptism be on in the NEW COVENANT???
• What Baptism is (Romans 6:3-11) “Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death. WE WERE BURIED THEREFORE WITH HIM BY BAPTISM INTO DEATH, SO THAT AS CHRIST WAS RAISED FROM THE DEAD BY THE GLORY OF THE FATHER, WE TOO MIGHT WALK IN THE NEWNESS OF LIFE” and does for a Christian (Romans 7:6) “But NOW WE ARE DISCHARGED FROM THE LAW, DEAD TO THAT WHICH HELD US CAPTIVE, SO THAT WE SERVE NOT UNDER THE OLD WRITTEN CODE BUT IN THE NEW LIFE OF THE SPIRIT”. Romans 8:2, 10:4, Gal 2:19-20, Gal 6:2, 1 Cor 9:20-21.
• There is a NEW COMMANDMENT in the “NEW COVENANT” per Jesus (John 13:34) “A NEW COMMANDMENT I GIVE TO YOU, THAT YOU LOVE ONE ANOTHER; EVEN AS I HAVE LOVED YOU, THAT YOU ALSO LOVE ONE ANOTHER”. LOVE “fulfills”, elevates, and “perfects” the old covenant law. LOVE OF GOD “fulfills” the first three commandments and LOVE OF NEIGHBOR “fulfills” the remaining seven commandments. (Romans 13:8, 10, Galatians 5:14).
• NEW COVENANT (Jere 31:31-34), NEW EXODUS (John 3:3-5), NEW LAW (John 13:34), NEW PASSOVER (Luke 22:19-20) NEW MANNA (John 6:31-35, 6:54) REQUIRES A “NEW” SABBATH (Heb 4:7, 8). As the old covenant Sabbath was a “memorial” for the first creation, so is the dying and rising of Jesus Christ brings about a NEW CREATION (2 Cor 5:17; Rev 21:5) and a NEW REDEMPTION (Eph 1:7; Rev 5:9-10) that surpasses the old.
• NEW COVENANT PASSOVER “fulfills” all the old Leviticus 23 “forever” commanded feasts. “First Fruits” with a priest sacrificing an “unblemished lamb”(foreshadowing Christ) on “THE DAY AFTER SABBATH” per verse 11. Pentecost commanded on “THE DAY AFTER SABBATH” in verse 15 and in verse 21 with an added command “day of rest” “on the same day”. Tabernacle Feast a “7 day” feast and in verse 39 on the “First” and “Eighth day” a “solemn rest”. The Catholic Mass (NEW COVENANT PASSOVER) is “daily” throughout the year making any dates of the old feasts a completely moot point.
• What “broke bread” really means (Matt26:26,Mark14:22,Luke 22:19) and on what “day” (Luke 24:13-35, Acts 20:7)
• SDA Church was established by a “man” in 1863 and is just another one of 35,000 and growing “man made” Protestant divisions stemming from a “man” Martin Luther in the 1500’s –NO LINEAGE TO JESUS CHRIST.
• To HIDE and DEFLECT from this no lineage to Jesus Christ SDA pastors have perverted the Books of Daniel and Revelation to breed “distrust” and “hate” towards what Jesus Christ did establish and create: ONE HOLY CATHOLIC AND APOSTOLIC CHURCH. Throughout the OT the Jewish Faith is called the “harlot”: Lev.17:7, 20:5, Deut. 31:16-17,Numbers 25:1,Judges 2:17, 8:27,8:33, 1 Chron. 5:25, Psalm 106:39 and “tons” more. Jewish Priests wore the “same colors” Exodus 28:5-6, 8, 39:8 as the Revelation “harlot” 17:4, 18:12, 18:16. Take a moment and Google “7 Hills and Jerusalem”. Historically, the “harlot” Jewish Faith did in fact ride the “Beast” (Roman Empire) to not only kill our Lord (John 19:15) and Saints (Peter, Paul and others), but was “devoured” by the “beast” in 70 AD when the Roman Empire destroyed the Temple and killed over a million Jews. Daniel’s Scriptures were prophecies that referred to the Antiochus period of Jewish persecution that you will find corroborated in 1 Maccabees 1:20-64.

Let’s examine what verse 7 states “AGAIN, HE SETS A CERTAIN DAY” and verse 8 “WOULD NOT SPEAK LATER OF ANOTHER DAY”, then a very “day” conclusion in verse 9 stating “there remains a Sabbath rest for the People of GOD”. What do we have in the NEW COVENANT??? “Sunday” which is clearly “ANOTHER DAY”.

Additionally, we have St. Paul in verse 5 comparing and contrasting those GOD promises “THEY SHALL NEVER ENTER MY REST” , which clearly is the OT Jewish “harlot” faith Saturday Sabbath worshippers. In comparison, to those in verse 10-11 where we can “STRIVE TO ENTER THAT REST”.

Looking for some feedback:

Since you are looking for feedback, my first comment would be to let you know the tone in your last 2 “paragraphs” is abrasive. I’m not sure if you intended it to be that way or not. You should find a more positive and charitable way to draw others to the truth. We are called to evangelize unbelievers (share the **Good **news), not denigrate their beliefs.

It is true that Jesus could be harsh in His words sometimes, but you will note it was always with those who were already members of the Chosen people - especially the leaders who had been schooled in the law but didn’t practice it. I can’t think of a single incident off hand where He castigated those who were not members of what was the true religion at the time - theJewish Faith - not even the Samaritans who retained many of the Jewish teachings. If we are to follow Jesus’ example, then harsh criticism should be reserved to members of our Catholic faith who are unfaithful - and not to those outside our faith who did not have the good fortune to be born into a Catholic family or receive the gift of faith in it at some point later on.

The members of the Jewish Faith were also called the “apple of His eye” (Deut. 32:10).

The Jewish** Faith ** was NEVER called a “harlot”. The Jewish Faith was good.
Harlot referred to the Jewish people who started worshiping pagan gods - abandoning the God of their Jewish Faith.

Yes, there is a little frustration and defensiveness as I live in the heartland of SDA’s and their extreme " hate" towards the RCC calling it the " harlot" and many other things. Twisting and perverting the Books of Daniel and Revelation AGAINST the RCC.

Regarding, Hebrews Chapter 4 I am going to need convincing verse 9 is not speaking of a “day” when clearly in CONTEXT it is comparing and contrasting those who GOD says will not enter and those who will. Additionally, verse 7-8 speak of “days”.

And if you succeed, it may be your virtuous response will open their hearts to Catholicism and they’ll see how incorrect their thinking has been.

I meant to say verse 9 clearly speaks of a specific “day” of rest. Verses leading up to this conclusion state in verse 7 “AGAIN, HE SETS A CERTAIN DAY” and very next verse 8 “WOULD NOT SPEAK LATER OF ANOTHER DAY”.

This also dove tails nicely with the fact in Leviticus 23 the “forever” GOD commanded feasts that were “fulfilled” by the NEW COVENANT PASSOVER (on Sunday) all point to “THE DAY AFTER THE SABBATH” (23:11,15, and in verse 21 with an added day of rest “ON THE SAME DAY” being “THE DAY AFTER THE SABBATH”, verse 39).

I understand everything you said jonesy31. Hebrews 4:9 is not referring to the Day of Atonement.

Leviticus 16:3
Only in this way may Aaron enter the inner sanctuary. He shall bring a bull of the herd for a purification offering and a ram for a burnt offering.
The only time that the High Priest Aaron could make sacrifices for peoples sins was on the day of atonement.

Hebrews 4:14
Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the son of God, let us hold fast to our confessions.
Through the Eucharist Jesus is offered as a sacrifice to all who have been validly baptized and confirmed. We can be free from our sins on any day. Jesus is more than a priest to us. He is Gods Son.

Amen, Catechism #2068. The 10 commandments are fundamentally immovable and immutable as a “First Step” of moral obligations for a Christian. The 10 Commandments were a vehicle to illustrate the need for the “Promise” and Gospel of Grace (Galatians 3:1-25 with emphasis in verse 25 for a “justified” man). We are bound to keep the 10 “morally”, but we are no longer bound by them liturgically or in a covenant sense. (Hebrews 7:12, 8:6-7, **13, 9:15).

Also, check out Hosea 2:11 what GOD promises to “END” regarding the old covenant “Sabbath” and it’s NT complement in Colossians 2:14-17. This latter Scripture makes it clear what happens during BAPTISM (Romans 7:4-6, 8:2, Galatians 2:19-20), otherwise St. Paul could not have stated this in Colossians and GOD and everyone could still “JUDGE” us over the old covenant Sabbath - if they applied liturgically to the New Covenant Christians which they no longer do (Galatians 3:25).
