Seventh son of the seventh son

I have been meaning to gain any information about the 7th son of the 7th son. My mother took me to a person of faith when I was yet a mere child. I’ve had a number of spiritual encounters and even been given an object that can not be defined as any substance from this world. I would like to know more on this topic. If you are interested or have any questions to ask of me don’t hesitate.

I’ve heard of the Irish folklore legend but I reside in Canada and a lot of the bible refers to the number 7 so I thought I would be heading down the right area to ask for information on it.

I give thanks to your replies, but my main question is if there is any relevance in the Catholic Church? I just want to keep with my faith, but I just wish I knew someone knew the bizzare questions I have to ask. Like why do I dream of events that come true, why can I focus on positive and negative spiritual energy with people right infront of me. why can I play out in my head of things yet to happen as if it were deja vu. As for healing I’ve supposedly done but lack the faith with in myself. I just don’t want to perceive myself of someone of importance, hence why I’d just like to know a little more than what I find on the internet.

In the bible, the number seven usually indicates that something is complete or finished. God rested on the seventh day of creation, for instance. Other than that, there is nothing magical or powerful about that number.

When you state that you are spiritually involved, do you mean that you have a friendship with Jesus, pray every day, go to Mass at least once a week and go to confession pretty regularly? This is the basis for Catholic spirituality.

Was the person of faith that you were taken to as a child a holy person from your church? Did the spiritual encounters you wrote about give you an understanding of God’s great love for you and make you desire to love Him more and more? Did they help you love other people and be kind to them? If that’s what happened, they were from God and you have been blessed.

I ask these things because I worry that you seem extraordinarily interested about the mythical special powers of being a seventh son (do you have six older brothers?). This is something from folklore. The idea that this gives someone special powers is a superstitious belief if you take it seriously. Superstition can lead to involvement in the occult. This is opposed to loving and serving God.

Spiritual experiences that are not from God cannot do you any good. Do you have a wise and holy priest you can talk to about this?

These may be natural abilities that God has given you. If that’s the case, you should stay very close to Him, for your own spiritual safety as well as to know how He will guide you into using them in the future.

I’ve been looking for a priest to talk for years now but here in Ottawa is the same skeptism as the rest of the world, I am not seeking for glory or power. I am simply looking for answers this is why I came on this site initially. I am always kind to others even if they choose other wise. I enjoy helping people in resolving their issues with reason. They say everything happens for a reason due to God’s will and I accept that and always have. Maybe I am looking for information in the wrong place or maybe not. We are all God’s children left with so many questions left unanswered. I thank you for putting in your tiime for this reply and God bless you for your concerns. I’ve always had concerns from the time I could remember. I’ve always devoted my love to God and always will to the end of my existence.

She would probably want to know if you’re a practicing Catholic and if you have had involvement in the occult. And probably how old you are.
